Multiple input devices in Windows
Is it possible to have both a trackball and a mouse attached , with the trackball to the serial port, controlling one cursor under Windows?

As the people with laptops have illustrated, it should work-in theory.
However, your mileage may vary: I've seen everything from it working flawlessly through the mouse reduced to basics when touchpad active through devices exluding each other down to NEITHER working when both were active.
In short, the only way to find out for sure is go ahead and try...

I know that a PS/2 mouse will work in conjunction with a Wacom tablet mouse.

I don't know about using the serial port but my desktop runs fine with a PS2mouse, a USB mouse and a USB graphics tablet all of which control the same cursor with no problems.Pu-239 wrote:Is it possible to have both a trackball and a mouse attached , with the trackball to the serial port, controlling one cursor under Windows?
Similarly my laptop works fine with it's touchpad and a mouse.
One thing you might have problems with is the bundled software that comes with your assorted pointing devices. The software for my old 5 button mouse conflicted with the touchpad software on my laptop for example.
