Note to self: Sheppard considers human and civil rights morally equivalent and analogous to the right to log in the wilderness.

"This statement, in its utterly clueless hubristic stupidity, cannot be improved upon. I merely quote it in admiration of its perfection." - Garibaldi in reply to an incredibly stupid post.

You completely missed his point, which is that both parties don't care how they achieve their agenda as long as they achieve it. There is no principled approach to federalism.

Oh for fuck's sakes.

You should try reading this sometime, IP.
Mike wrote:One addendum: please try not to hold grudges. If you have a huge flamewar with someone and he says something perfectly reasonable in some other thread, LET GO OF YOUR ANGER and try to talk with him in the other thread as if he's a whole new person, dealing with whatever he or she just said anew.

I have noticed that some people carry around a "mad-on" for certain people and won't let that person get over it. It's a natural and perfectly understandable impulse, and this forum will bring it out of people by the nature of the subject matter. However, it can be rather annoying to see someone post something which, on its own merits, seems perfectly reasonable, only to have someone else jump into the thread ranting about what the person posted in some other thread, or about some personal vendetta which has been building for some time.

If someone says something stupid, then by all means, let him have it. But if someone said something stupid last week, do not jump all over him if he says something reasonable today.
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.

Not a bad pic at all 8)
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Very funny. Amusing to see how each side is pursuing their respected agendas.

Howedar, IPs comment was about Sheps reaction to the comic and shouldn't be considered a grudge as it is completely on topic.

However, I thought the comic was sorta funny.

All MKSheppard said was "LOL so damn true." That could be interpreted ten thousand different ways. Illuminatus chose to interpret it what he considered a negative light.

If IP's reaction wasn't so completely out of left field with it's bizarre interpretation of Shep's motives, you'd possibly have a point.

Compared with some of the things we have seen IPs was hardly warranting a posting of the grudge rules. I don't agree with his statement but it deserves at worst a slight beratement.

You know, it seems that with each passing day, that 'flaming liberal' comment of Marina's grows more and more accurate.
