So, Californians, do you think Arnold is doing a decent job as governor of your state?

I'm just wondering because out here, I hear nice comments from time to time but little else.

If his efforts to raise funding to education go through, my college tuition's gonna be easier to foot.

Yeah I think Arnold's doing a good job so far.

yes, true republican anti-federalists view educaion as a function of state and local government. Arnold funds it accordingly. The wicked bean counter sterotype is just that.

So far just about every piece of legislation and initiative that Arnold has pushed has passed and he has taken a strong focus on education which is extremely important to California. Whether or not he'll solve the state's budget problems long-term is unknown, but Arnold has been a great unifier in California and he has the ability to make great changes while retaining his otherworldly popularity.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with the job Arnold is doing, I just hope that he keeps his priorities on track a gets the state's fiscal status back together.

Yes, and you'll want to note that most Republicans aren't in favor of simply slashing education but rather getting the federal government out of it as it's beyond it's Constitutional duties. Rather most believe that it should be handled at the state or local level as was orginally intended. It shouldn't really suprise you since there are plenty of Republican governors that make education a big priority.

Arnold is doing a fantastic job as governor. MUCH better than I had expected, I'll admit. He's getting the right legislation through, the state's credit rating is up for the first time in decades (not that it's anything to boast about, now), and he's doing a PHENOMENAL job of handling the legislature.

the little girlie men that they are. *snicker*. Amazingly, if just about any other polititian in the country said that, they'd be hiding in thier office behind an army of spin doctors.

He's done a good job so far, but he's running into the budget gridlock. I think the "girly men" comment is just going to make the legislature more stubborn.
