KazaaLite problem

Post by Peregrin Toker »

I have downloaded a file by KazaaLite (which currently is in the shared folder) and would like to have it deleted. But every time I try to delete it, it comes with a message that another program or person is using it. Then, I disconnect KazaaLite, try to delete it and it still comes with that message!

And no, it's not a virus - my AVAST anti-virus program hasn't made any alerts over it.

Exactly how should I remove it? Should I just uninstall KazaaLite and then try to get rid of it?

You say you've disconnected Kazaa, have you shut the program down completely?

Disconnect the internet, reboot and then try to remove the file. If that doesn't work then use Killbox.

It's something about XP, this happened on my Dad's computer when I tried to delete files. Just reboot, without loading Kazaa, and delete the file.

If it's really truly stubborn, boot off a floppy and kill it in DOS.

Happens to me all the time, as long as Kazaa is closed it should delete fine. Or at least it does for me, make sure the program is actually shut because it shrinks to the system tray when you select close.

I've had this problem with KazaaLite. But, I figured whenever it happens to me, it's because someone is downloading the file from me at that time. So I just close down Kazaa, and delete it in my shared folder and it's gone for good.
