Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (title confirmed)
The Official Site has revealed the title for Episode III. It is the long speculated Revenge of the Sith.
Also available is a new ROTS t-shirt, in the style of the old "Revenge of the Jedi" ones back in the 80's. Also, some cool concept art there of Anakin.

It's a fitting title, IMO. It fits in with Darth Maul's line about their revenge. Plus it's a bit of homage to the original Episoe VI title.
And I like the design on the T-shirt. Very dark looking.
But to think that this film shall be forever referred to as ROTS...
I was the first person to use "ROTS" on the SW.com forums
(to my knowledge, at least)

For fan art, that actually looks pretty damn good.Galvatron wrote:The logo I made months ago...

I may have been the first here to do it.Hardy wrote:I was the first person to use "ROTS" on the SW.com forums
I said:
Today, StarWars.com said:...the storyline in Episode III basically represents the culmination of the Sith's millennia-old vendetta against the Jedi. The focus should be on them rather than the "Empire."
The Sith are masters of the dark side of the Force and the sworn enemies of the Jedi. They were all but exterminated by the Jedi a thousand years ago, but the evil order continued in secrecy. They operated quietly, behind the scenes, acting in pairs - a Master and an Apprentice - patiently biding their time before they could take over the galaxy. In Episode III, they'll finally exact their revenge on the Jedi.

Ah. That seems pretty much correct.Galvatron wrote: I may have been the first here to do it.
I seem to have been the first to use the acronym "ROTS" when it was first confirmed, unless the fanboys in the Episode III forums got to it first.
I'll have to check, but here is where I used the acronym.

Me too.Techno_Union wrote: Good title!
I still like Star Wars: Rise of the Empire... but its still cool.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

I only liked it because I wrote that fac called Rise of the Empire.Galvatron wrote:I never liked Fall of the Republic or Rise of the Empire as titles because neither actually happens. Instead, the Republic gradually metamorphoses into the Empire over the span of three decades.
Much like how one would rarely say that Rome fell when Caesar took power.

Which was of course a bogus title leaked to spot bootlegged merchandise. It was always going to be Return of the Jedi, but neither Kenner or Fox knew that until they were finally informed by Lucasfilm.Master of Ossus wrote:Particularly given the history of that title, which was originally "Revenge of the Jedi."Hardy wrote:It's a fitting title, IMO. I was at Comic-Con when Steve Sansweet announced the title.. man the roof was blown away by the cheers... They showed some scenes from the DVDs coming out this year, Droids, Ewoks, the made for TV Ewok movies and the classic trilogy. They had Hayden Christiansan and Rick McCAllum, and Carrie Fisher out for a little Q&A. They also showed a little bit of behind the scenes of RotS. Lots of drawings of Kashyyk and one scene showing Hayden donning the Vader mask and helmet to the Imperial March... in the make up room. Even he people who were putting on the suit were in awe.
Oh yeah.. bought my RotS T-shirt too... which was out for sale 5 minutes after the announcement was made.

Kashyyyk sounds cool, but where's Christiansen going to pick up another foot of height? Vader was gianormous.

Hayden is pretty tall, himself.CaptainChewbacca wrote:Kashyyyk sounds cool, but where's Christiansen going to pick up another foot of height? Vader was gianormous.
I'd imagine that he had some extentions in his legs and arms while being put into the suit. I have no clue what practical purpose that would serve, but I'm sure the added height was due to the suit.
EDIT: No. Saxton concludes otherwise. I think his height is apparent, and not definite. We must also consider that Kenobi might have shrunken with age and Anakin was still growing after AOTC.
I know Saxton touches up on it here, but when I read it, I couldn't find any conclusions:
