Is Hyperspace and other Pay-for-Service Stuff Worth It?

Post by Axis Kast »

Considering that I've usually been nothing but disappointed with Star Wars and its on-screen developments since 1998, can anybody who already possesses Hyperspace membership suggest whether or not I should shell out the cash to get the gimmicks they offer?

When Hyperspace was $20 most members I knew were actually quite pleased with the insider stuff and the member benefits. They were pretty eager to spread the word on how cheap $20 was for all this stuff.

But since the price doubled, there has been far less satisfaction from the same people I knew. A lot of them have refused to reknew subscriptions and more will when it expired.

I am stil hoping to get HS for myself, but I lack a credit card.

While I'm an International member (I'm Swedish) and only paid $19.95 to renew my Hyperspace subscription (but then we don't get either the package or the Insider), I must say it's worth every penny! Today we HS members have been greeted by a behind-the-scenes picture showing George Lucas, misc. crew and EPISODE III VADER! We also got 43 pictures with Kashyyyk concept art. And, let's not forget the regular features, Before the Helmet pics, Web Docs and updates on the production. If I were you, I'd go and pay the fee and become a member! Hyperspace has been somewhat dull at times, but it always made up for it.

Anyone who is signed up, can you save and send me the video of episode 20 of the clone wars? I've watched all 20 episodes (were hosted by AOL) but then AOL took down 11-20. I backed up 1-10, but episode 20 was the greatest ever...

$20 was great, I mean we get the web docs and stuff - for a little spoiler whore like me it was heaven - and the Clone Wars cartoons (the reason I signed up as I am outside the US and don't have cable), but other than that eh ...

Informed is good. I want to be informed too, specially about the CW cartoons :) If you get my drift (nudge nudge).

Actually I have no idea what I'm talking about but I want in.
