Faulty Intelligence - What the fuck is this shit?

Ok, lately I've been hearing stuff like "It wasn't Bush's fault we went to war, he was mislead by faulty intelligence," as if this absolves him off all blame.

Now, what the fuck?

Everyone knew it was faulty intelligence!! The fucking CIA said it was faulty intelligence!! There was *never* any factual basis to the WMD claims, let alone the wild "45 minutes" shit, and everyone, from the Democrats to Hans Blix, where saying it! It was the Administration who insisted that Saddam was indeed, AT THAT MOMENT, capable of deploying WMDs.

THEY were the ones pushing the "faulty intelligence," but they seem to have gotten away with it! Where's the outrage? Why isn't the Democratic Party making a huge deal out of this? What do you think? Am I totally insane?

The problem is that if that position were argued, then people would argue that we voted for the war anyhow, so why did we vote for it if we knew the intelligence was false?

The Senate Intelligence Committe is creating a report to determine how the White House used the intelligence the CIA reported.

....a report to be released well after the November elections.

Dennis Hastert wins in the end.

But remember, you can always impeach a president...imagine the uproar when the public is told that they were lied to, and lied to because they were so eager to back the president.

I wouldn't even try and impeach him, given the various fringe benefits of Saddam no longer being in power. The RNC will have a field day portraying the Democrats as willing to impeach a President who removed a murderous dictator.

Well, considering the field day the Republicans had with the fact that Clinton lied about having an affair in office, dontcha think that if we found a Democrat as Rabid as Ken Starr, he could have just as much fun with the fact that Bush lied to the people about war?

Clinton's lies about his orgasms never killed anything but his own sperm.
Bush's lies have killed 900+...
