Alien VS Predator movie is rated PG-13!!!! WHAT A TRAVESTY

Really? How much did they cut out? Some of the "Friday the 13th" films came close to an X rating too...

Actually only a little. One part I understood but a couple were just funny in the amount of gore(literally no one could take it serious at how bad it looked)

All they really cut from Robocop to get down from an X to an R was the shot of Murphy getting shot in the head at the end of the scene where he's shot to death.

Actually no, in order to get the rating down, they trimmed alot. The ED-209 killing Kenny the exec was trimmed quite a bit. The scene where Murphey was "killed" was shortend quite a bit which also including his right hand exploding due to a point blank shotgun blast. And the part at the very end where Robocop inpaled Red Forman with his data spike, the blood jetted out alot longing and more gruesome like an anime. And just little things here and there was trimmed down a few frames due to the extreame violence.

You can get the Unrated version on DVD now.

Well, I just picked up the novelization the other night (curiosity got to me.) If the novel is any indication then there is indeed human, alien, and predator gore involved.

Well, no matter the actual content of the theatrical version of the PG-13, I wouldn't doubt Fox putting out a more violent R-rated cut for the DVD release...

I have no doubt about that either assuming it exists, I've read several things that said Paul Anderson set out for a R rating when he wrote & directed AvP but was surprised when he sent it in and got the PG-13. I could be wrong with that assessment.

Not to bad. It's not going to win any oscars. For those who really want to know.....

Huge Fucking SPOILER!!! :::Everybody dies except for the black chick and one predator. Facing incalculable odds they end up working together to fend off the alien horde. Not the greatest, but I find it reminiscint of one of the earlier comics.

Accually Boddecker shooting Murphy in the head and blowing his hand off with a point-blank shotgun blast are in the R rated version. Though you don't see his right arm being blown off.

Either he had kids the book didn't mention or he had a clone. Either way, he ended up pretty damn dead. He would have died anyway since, according to the book, he was approaching death due to cancer.

Of course Bishop II in Alien 3 was an android. That was the whole point: that the Company CANNOT be trusted whatsoever.

I knew Bishop II in A3 was an android, or perhaps a clone, once they announced the original Bishop was living in the 21st century. I just think it's odd to have Bishop die in his first encounter with the Xeno and have the company obsessively chase the aliens around in the future. It would've been better to have Bishop survive and develop his fetish and obsession for the critters, IMO.

My arguement was that Murphy getting his arm blown off was not in the Rrated version, even though Murphy's hand being blown off, and his brains being blown out are. I didn't disagree with your post, but rather Spanky and Seele's. I should have made that more clear.

I just realized you can see two hands in that pic, even though it happens after Boddecker blowns Murphy's hand off. Maybe it was cut out of the R version not for its gore, but because it's an effects gaff.
