Am I the only one who thinks this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever? I mean, I'm trying to put myself in a fundie's shoes, but it doesn't even make sense from that perspective.

I don't even have to read the article, and I can guess the explanation.

Women, aggressively snatching up rights God-given only to men, are intimidating males so that they are unable to be sexually attracted to them. Then, with their demon-aroused libidos, they are forced to find an outlet for release: other men and little children.

(Please remember, this is the Vatican's take, not mine.)

I think it's more, women fought for equal sexual rights, then gays recieved those same rights when women did. So Homosexuality is women's fault for not wanting to be raped by their husbands.

The Pope didn't write it.

The reasoning behind it (which I think the article makes rather clear) is that Feminism has undermined the value placed on the traditional "family" (Male-Female raising children) and the basis of that family (marriage) so that Homosexuals can now get married.

The article mentions nothing of what people in this thread are alleging.

The article does say (that the documents say) that Women should have equal rights but men and women are different, whilst adding that Women should not be barred from the workplace and that women should not be prevented from both being mothers and having careers ( and that governments should help these women).
The criticism of Feminism of is probably based in the areas where the document says that Women who choose to just be mothers shouldn’t be stigmatised (which is sometimes done by some feminists/society at large).

There are certainly faults to be found within Vatican positions but I think some here are overstating (if not out right misrepresenting) what the article says about the document.
