Mike Wong and Alton Brown

Post by ReinnResauq »

Ok, so I haven't posted in forever since I really suck at forum debates, plus I hate filtering through all of the crap to find the post that kicks my ass

Anyway, I was just checking Alton Brown's website at www.altonbrown.com and I noticed that Mike and Alton speak in a very similar fashion. Maybe Mike is actually a 40-something white man that hosts a cooking show?

For those of you who don't know, Alton Brown has a show on FoodTV called Good Eats. On it, he explains the science of cooking while talking about cooking in a funny but not flashy way. Only one of his recipes I've tried has not turned out well.
The gift of Superman is the same in his universe as ours. It's not about his powers, his costume, his persona, it's about the using the gifts he has to help people. We all have gifts too, maybe we can't leap tall buildings in a single bound, but maybe we're good with math, maybe we're charming. We can use our gifts -whatever they are- to help people. We just need to make that choice. And Superman shows us that it's possible.

Alton Brown does indeed rock, but a Mike Wong alter-ego? Naww...

Until Alton Brown talks about sex on his show, no.

I'm pretty sure Alton Brown's taller too. He was fairly tall when I saw him in person.

Mike already has plenty of alter egos as Mike Wong.

Alton Brown's show is like Beakman's World with food, and without a giant talking rat. It's great. His fried chicken recipy worked out great for me.
Mike and Alton probably sound similar because they both speak in scientific terms.

PS. In you make the chicken, don't cheap out on the thermometer. Get a good electronic probe one.

I said they sound similar not because of their use of scientific terms, but because of their contempt for stupid people. Not only that, but their dark sense of humor. In May, Alton said
The fact that “Dr.” Phil has the number 1 cookbook on Amazon.com makes me want to end it all.
The way Mike and Alton talk is so similar it's scary. http://www.altonbrown.com/pages/rants.html (forgive me, I suck at html, just copy and paste it).
