John Kerry shows no class

Post by MrAnderson »

I guess that just because John Kerry is the "french looking" he does not have any of that vaunted European class.

During a rally just the other day in Milwaukee Wisconson a group of republican supporters started to chant during the Kerry rally to show their support for George W. Bush.

It did not take long for John Kerry to publicly call the people George W. Bush's goons or for his wife to publically state that the people in question wanted four more years of hell.

Why does no one say anything about this? Democrat politicians running for office over the last 10 years have been extremely virulent in their personal attacks upon Republicans. Never did you hear a high ranking republican or his wife in 1996 suggest that a vote for Clinton was a vote for 4 more years of life in hell.

Am I saying that Democrats are scum while Republicans are the moral elite? No way in hell. What I am saying is that the current group of Democrats over the last 10 years have shown a willingness and desire to sink to a personal level that is little better than how 6 years olds insult each other when they do not get their way.

Or maybe it is more simple than that. Maybe it is just that I do not think that anyone who is running for President of the United States of America should ever call ANY of his fellow citizens GOONS for doing nothing more than taking advantage of their Freedom of Speech.

PROTESTERS SHOUT '4 MORE YEARS' AT KERRY RALLY IN DOWNTOWN MILWAUKEE

JOHN KERRY: 'I want to thank George Bush for sending the goons here tonight to excite us to do a little more work'...

TERESA HEINZ KERRY: 'They want four more years of hell'...

I notice that Democrats in general are more willing to make personal attacks. I don't just mean the rank and file either. Kerry's wife is back to repeating the suggestion that "George W Bush is stupid".

I found this whole thing particularly amusing in 2000 since GWB has degrees from two different colleges while Al Gore flunked or dropped out of everything including Divinity College.

Notice though that no one is calling this defemation, there's far too much evidence to go along with G.W. being a fucking idiot to legally contest it. Meanwhile of course, Bush just has protesters sent off to holding cages so he doesnt even have to comment on them...I'm not seeing the Dem's coming off more objectionable here.

Four more years of hell? I remember when Clinton was was in office, a popular right-wing book said the country was "Slouching Toward Gamorah (sp?)". I also remember Republicans attacking the Clintons in their personal lives, accusing Hillary of screwing Vince Foster, then killing him (proving they watched Basic Instinct too many times). They accused Bill Clinton of theft, rape, murder, perjury, mopery, espionage and shooting a Navy pilot in the eye with a communist laserbeam -all without any evidence to back it up. Rush Lardass even called 12-year-old Chelsea Clinton "the White House dog". They even tried to blackmail Clinton out of office until their scheme hit the papers. At that point, they impeached him over a blowjob.

Your source, The Sludge Report, even libeled a White House aide, calling him a wife-beater.

But when Kerry calls a few hecklers "goons", it's crossing the line and a sign he has no class?

If Kerry wanted to get personal, he would mention Bush's desertion from REMF duty in the National Guard in every appearance. Since Republicans have attacked Kerry's wife, he would be more than justified in pointing out that like her husband and Dick Cheney, Laura Bush has problems behind the wheel of a car. She once ran a STOP sign and killed a teenager. And don't even mention an illegal abortion in 1971.

Yeah, Democrats play dirty and ruthless. Give me a break!

The right to free speech =/= the right to not be insulted if you do something stupid.
If they want to go and antagonize people with such a childish act and Kerry calls them a goon, so what. Maybe it'd be unacceptable if Bush wasn't such an arsehole, but he is.

Wow. Why, in nearly 4 years of watching Bush, has this never come up?

I'd suggest that it's because the Dems are better than that, but you know better and I know better. I think it's because to the Dems, Laura Bush is pretty much a nonentity compared to the rich fodder for criticism husband provides.

Oh give me a fucking break. The Democrats weren't the ones who spent millions of dollars on a 5-month long campaign whose sole purpose was to carpet bomb Kerry's character.

Because its in the same ballpark as the 47 former associates, friends and underlings of Bill Clinton who died under very mysterious circumstances at various stages of his Presidency.

No, she was Laura Welch back then, there was another passenger in the car with her, she ran a Stop sign and hit a Chevrolet Corvair driven by a certain Michael Douglas. Her Fiance.

Bullshit. "Underlings mysteriously disappearing" is a matter of conjecture and speculation. Laura Bush being responsible for the death of a teenager in 1963 is a matter of documented fact.

And I'm calling in other sources. Does anyone but Drudge have this quote on record? Surely Yahoo! news would have included it in their story about the same rally.

EDIT: A quick Google search of the words "kerry", "protesters" and "goons" shows nothing. Neither does a search of the exact quote, or exact portions of the quote. Wow, what do you know. The Drudge Report is apparently full of shit.

They went to a John Kerry rally to disrupt John Kerry's speech while he was exercising his right to free speech. Many label *that* as rude and oafish behaviour. Kerry calling them 'goons' was appropriate considering their actions.

Could you please provide some corroborating evidence for this quote from Kerry? No one else has reported any such thing aside from the god damn Drudge Report.
