Funnily enough some have complained that his novelization wasn't as good for the first...though the second was done better.

I've read precisely one PAD book, Q-Squared, and it was masterful.
But that's just one book. I'd love to actually read some of his New Frontiers novels, but can't seem to find them. If they have that hardback with the CD I'd get it. Definitely.
I've read a lot of his TNG books and his B5 books. His B5 books were the best of all the B5 books, IMO, mainly because he was able to capture the feel of the characters. There were some scenes where I would swear he was just writing out dialog from a season 5 episode, but he wasn't.
The ST book I liked most (of the ones I read) was Vendetta, with Q-squared a close second.

He also did several scripts for various B5 episodes, the one with Lando's wives being the one that sticks out in my mind the most right now.

I tried Q-Squared once ages ago and found all the different tracks annoying and didn't get into it.
