Hypothetical: Terrorist Nuclear Attack

Once A nuke has gone off in a US city....the genies already out of the bottle
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;

I'd say even 2 is pushing it: And although nukes do less damage than most people think (a 1MT airburst over London would leave 80% of the population and 95% of the structures intact), since a terrorist bomb would almost certainly be a groundburst , it would leave a lot of icky radiological contaminants and fallout (airbursts, on the other hand, are comparitivly clean), even though the actual level of destruction would be much less than an airburst. This contamination would force major evacuations, rendering the city effectivly dead.Aeolus wrote:Realistically how many of our citys could "terrorists" take out? 1? 2? 3? atmost.
