I'm almost tempted to write back and explain things just to get his reaction.

If I get more then 4 dares, I'll do it.

I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.

It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

I second that dare, only to see if he reply, "I'm joking you retard."
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Hush... The ScienceOfficer for the USS West Virginia lives in my apartment building.

He's somewhere over 40, autisic, and can quote military history, navy history, and TOS trivia in fervent detail. The kind of detail that makes even hard-core trekkies want to get AWAY.

He's also a ranking Herald in the SCA. And he is equally knowledgable in SCA history.

And he has very little idea of what 'bathing' or 'washing clothes' means.
Sounds very familiar. I was in a book store once and a Trekkie nut that hadn't bathed in years appeared next to me, blabbed, and started talking about his favorite Star Trek quotes...

As a Security officer on the USS Impulse, I can officially say that this is conduct unbecoming of a Starfleet Officer.

Hostility towards other RPG's is usually punishable by banning.

What would his superiors think?

I don't think one email is enough to classify him as a certified loon. If he persists in this behavior then yes, he's definitely a loon.

Victory at Solaris

-by Kuja Alextros

For days, citizens of the Empire have been waiting for good news from the front line. Today, they'll recieve it. At 0950 hours local time, the Imperial Navy stormed into the Solaris system in the former United Federation of Planets, now the Imperial Milky Way Protectorate.

Federation resistance was at its heaviest recorded level since last week's assault on Earth, the capital of the Federation. Twenty starships opposed the Imperial Navy, which quickly smashed all resistance and captured the science station. Once there, they were handed a pleasant surprise.

The HIMS Stormfront, thought lost during the battle at Andor, was found to be relatively intact and undergoing emergeny refitting by renegade Federation technicians and engineers. "There's really no question that they were intending to turn the Stormfront against us," commented Fleet Captain Aieden, a Naval officer of twenty years who was the first officer on the scene. "They were slapping new metal plates on her and trying to mount some of their phaser banks on her underside. They even had a new name painted on her. Fortunately for us, they never manged to get her online."

When asked about how the Federation had managed to capture the Stormfront, Captain Aieden replied "Well, she was in the front line at Ander, and they hit her pretty hard. When she blind-jumped out and didn't come back, we assumed the worst."

Sadly, there were no signs of the Stormfront's crew, and all are still listed as missing in action. "I had a relative on the Stormfront, so I'm hoping they're safe and sound somewhere," said one Naval trooper who asked not to be identified. Meanwhile, several prisoners taken during the battle have been taken for questioning, including one Captain Wilson of the USS Ticonderoga, the only present Federation ship that did not take part in the battle, due to being down for repairs. "We have high hopes that we'll locate the Stormfront's crew," said Captain Aieden. "Until then, we just have to keep going."

In other news, Admiral Khaisson's battle group scored another stunning success against the Borg Collective, destroying a full fifty capital ships. Sources say that the Borg Campaign is not expected to last much longer, as the impending assault on their homeworld will hopefully break their unity and make them much less coordinated.

Eh, the guy seems to be taking role playing too seriously. The thing I was wondering about however is what makes this guy thinks he can just say that he too stole the star destroyer schematics without explaining how, sort of like a child saying "well i pull out my red pokemon and burn you" (actually happened, working at summer camp). I think that this guy may have just been trying to impress Wong with his roleplaying the other side of the war.
However I'll be the fifth person to dare ya to email him.

Ouch. I really, REALLY, hope he didn't actually mean that. Otherwise it's high time for the nice men in white coats to show up on his doorstep.

Well, that's more then enough dares....

Here is what I'm thinking of Sending to him.

[Start]
Hello.

I hate to be the one that does this, but you're email to Darth Wong/Admiral Kanos of Stardestroyer.net was looked upon with much humour.

Why?

Because Stardestroyer.net is NOT a roleplaying website. It is, in actuality, a giant essay written in the form of a report to make it more readable.

I mean, which would you rather read? A typical engineering report, full of numbers and statistics on how a fictional weapon would most likely function in real-life, or a quick, 'in-universe', analysis?

Now, if this was simply a demonstration of humor, or something geniue and friendly of that nature, congradulations on doing that. Most pro-Star Trek fans tend to be very rude in there correspondence/debate attempts on Stardestroyer.net

If it was a joke to see how people took it, consider this your notification: We laughed our collective asses off, and wondered how long you were out of the loney bin for.

If it was an attempt to start a debate, the odds are Mr. Wong will not be responding to you, as he detests people that try to debate 'incharacter'. However, if you are looking for an honest debate, sign up to the Stardestroyer.net webforms (at bbs.stardestroyer.net, in the event you didn't know), read the announcements form, then scroll/read through the Star Wars vs Star Trek form, and if your still interested, post a message, and I'll gladly debate you.

Sincerly
Solauren
[End]

I'll be back online at roughly 5:15pm EST (it's 7:35am EST now). If this meets everyone's 'do it'/'yeah, that's good', I'll send it around then.

I'd like one of the 'do it's" to be Mike, since I am in effect daring someone that appears to be bandwidth pollution here. But hey, we could all use a new VI.....

It's probably just a joke sent by some immature little kid with some time to spare and not expecting to get a hole drilled into his ass

Nonetheless, a reply would really, really, really be ridiculously entertaining.

I'm surprised this got more than an amused shake of the head from you DW. I would have thought you'd be getting worse than this.

I get worse than this all the time. But mindless screaming is mostly forgettable, and those messages just get deleted. This one was interesting because it was weird.

To whom it may concern. I have just recieved word from Bothan spies that this Captain has indeed gone rogue.

If he is not captured, he will rally more star systems to his cause!

We must put aside our differences, Rebel, Imperial, Vong, and Ssi-Ruuvian, to combat this Rogue Federation Menace immediately!

A copy of this message will be distributed across all Holo-Net nodes as soon as I am able.

No, I tend not to respond to people who try to roleplay with me, especially when they're hiding behind Yahoo addresses.
Not everyone who uses hotmail/yahoo is hiding. It is cheap. I wouldn't pay a dime for email if I didn't have to.

1) I think you are supposed to use "From" to describe the origin of your message, which according to you you wrote aboard the Ticonderoga. You do not AFAIK use "Name" for that field.

2) I find it kind of sad that the Federation Starfleet is so skimpy they ain't even you a E-mail address, thus forcing you to use a Yahoo Webmail address...
Comments: Hi, My name is Captain Wilson of the Federation Starship U.S.S Ticonderoga. I have visited this site just out of curiosity. I am amazed at the content of the website towards trekkies and star wars people.
Umm, howdy.
I appreciate you trying to see a little bit of goodness towards the Federation, even though we are totally different worlds. I have read that you have stolen some of the Federation's data on the Galaxy-Class Starships.
What stealing of the Federation's data? You mean those shameful battle records that have been released by the Federation, which we took to determine your fleet's capabilities?
Well, One of our intelligence members have stolen the schematics and designs for your Imperial Class Star Destroyer.
Hardly a challenge, since basic schematics are in such open-source material as the EGVV and the ICS, both of which are unclassified. Perhaps I'd be a bit generous, and tell you there's a flaw in most of those schematics - those domes are not shields :D
We are building the Federation's first destroyer, the F.S.D Europa.
Kinda wierd they'd change their designation from USS to FSD. Kinda wierd they would choose to call it Europa (a mere continent in the Federation) rather than after a planet or a virtue of your Federation. Kind of like the US military naming its newest, biggest warship after a little known village.

Perhaps you should go and see if you can get some clearance to go to see the vessel and speak to the techs. Considering that the power plant is at least 6 orders of magnitude more powerful than anything they've done before (as are many of the other primary systems), I bet they'd be having trouble.
I'm not here to put you or any of star wars fan down. I'm just saying that I have a healthier respect for the Federation than the Imperial Empire. I do like the empires taste of starship designs.
Your preference is irrevelant to who would win, not to put Star Trek fans or even Federation officers down.
Let me just say this, the Federation is just as big as a threat to the empire as the Rebellion.
Considering your ships have less than 1/1000th of the speed, I doubt it.
But we have much, much, more ships and weapons than they have.
All of which are far inferior.
but with the condition your empire is in, the Federation will crush the empire like a bug. If not us. The Borg will sure will. We'll be watching you...each and every one of you.
Like you can, with those creeping ships. To be honest, any intact sector commander could force your Federation to surrender with a month of scouting and a weekend of precision attack.

Actually, Europa is one of Jupiter's moons.
One of the over a hundred moons in our solar system.
That's even worse than europe ;)
