Would you vote for a hypothetical McCain/Powell GOP ticket?

This question is for stalwart Bush and Kerry supporters alike as well as the fence sitters who refuse to vote for either.

I doubt the GOP would let McCain run for president - look what they did to him last time he tried.

Hell yes I would vote for McCain/Powell. I've been waiting for Powell to run for years and I was mighty disapointed McCain lost out last go around.

That's why it's hypothetical. :P

Absolutely. Both seems to be decent, reason and moderate individuals. I'd happily vote for any combination of those two that could be managed on a ballot.

No for the simple reason that I don't like McCain or Powell. Anyone who describes himself (Powell) as a 'Rockefeller Republican' isn't someone I could vote for.

Just McCain on the ticket sold me (having voted for him in the 2000 Primary), and Powell would round out said ticket out nicely.

I would vote for McCain but not for Powell. Powell lost all credibility with me during Bush's hunt for WMD's and the fact that he let himself become the President's whipping boy/fall guy is contemptible.

I can't answer that, because I won't vote for someone just on the basis of his or her name. What kind of campaign are they running on?

Hell, even my mother would probably vote for that ticket, and she's one of the most left wing nuts I know.

Who are they running against?

I'd still have to hold my nose, but I wouldn't be cutting off the blood flow like I will for the real 04 election.
