Why do you dislike the administration?

This might have been done before, and I tried to go into the search function, but I am having a lot of trouble using it.

WHy do YOU personally (economics, politics, socically) dislike the current government administration. I can find a lot of general information, but I am worried greatly about the reliablity of it (bias and such) There were these ardent bush fans I was talking to on AIM, and they won't leave me alone, adn I can't block them. Can anyone help me? I have general ideas, but nothing specific. If you could tell me, or direct me to something reliable as a source of information on why the current admin. is bad I would be very grateful.

Facisim is wrong. There's the Patroit Acts being extended, again. Ashcroft trying to get libiaries to lock up books that contain legal information (the Justice department stoped him, reminding him he was an American in 2004, not a German in 1940.)

There's making people sign loyality oaths to attend speeches, there's having the Secert Service grab two poeple for wearing anti-Bush shirts...

There's attempts to have American Citizens declared P.O.Ws...

I dislike the warlike tendencies of this administrations. The Bush administration invaded a sovereign country, Iraq under a false pretext of WMD. No WMD had been found anc it is very much likely Iraq did not have any when the war took place. Inspite of this hundreds if not thousands of Iraqis and hundreds of American soldiers perished because of Bush's blunders.

It wasn't a blunder. The Iraq war served its purpose very well: that being to deflect attention away from the administration's Saudi friends. Unfortunately, now people are starting to wise up, so we need a new target. Bushie gets re-elected and I wouldn't be surprised to see another unnecessary bloodbath in the Middle East.

Assuming this is my administration; I dislike their blatant ass-kissing of the US. People who oppose this in Parliament are dubbed "anti-American". That's my main beef.

oh my god I am so sick of this shit as well. I was watching lateline the other night and it had Tony Abbot versus Labor Bitch (sorry, don't like Labor and I can't remember her name), and Tony Abbot tried every 5 seconds to mention Labor's resistance to the FTA was due to anti-americanism.

Not to say Labor came out looking stellar in that interview. Both parties have failed us, in my opinion.

My biggest beef probably is that the president means well for the country at heart, but just doesn't have the brains or the political finesse to do it RIGHT.

If the president were smart/intelligent and very politically experienced, Ashcroft wouldn't be such a problem if the president knew better and kept people like that from doing what they do.

It wouldnt be so bad if the USA's current administration was actually worth it(Federal Australian politics has almost always followed the USA fairly closely ). But the current USA administration is not worth the slavish devotion the current Australian administration has with them.

the spd sucks at getting the unemployment rate down and the greens (spd + greens = governing coalition) annoy the hell out of me with their anit nuclear power politics. in 2018 the last german nuclear power plant will go offline.

Not to mention the activation of reservets.....
Its not that I don't like the idea of reserves its just I hate reservets for the most part becuase even when activated the majority of them retain that civllian arrogence

I heard that the average coal plant releases MORE radioactivity into the atmosphere than your average Nuke plant too.

THEY ARE PATHOLOGICAL LIERS

Watch any press conference involving a member of the Bush administration and you'll notice they're really into the Big Lie. That is, they will latch onto a particular phrase (i.e.: 'the American people are safer') and repeat it ad naseum. There have been some good bits on The Daily Show about this.

Besides that, they've broken just about every promise, pledge, etc they've ever made. They make these grand gestures (ex: no child left behind), then either fail to fund them, fund them but jack up the debt doing it, and or fuck it up royally in the execution.

And, of course, their doing things like not getting sufficient body armor to the troops, ignoring studies and reports conducted by government agencies in favor of obviously flawed and biased corporate studies (mainly having to do with the environment/energy policy), minipulating the fear and ignorance of a great many Americans by pushing for a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, and acting like assholes to much of the world.

Then they blame anything that goes wrong on the former administration, 'activist judges,' liberals, the media, and terrorists.

Basicly, watch C-SPAN coverage of the Administration and you should have ample evidence of why they are widely mistrusted.

All that said, most recent administrations have really been no better. They just managed to hide much of their activity.

BUSH CAN'T TALK.

I mean, seriously, the man couldn't talk his way through an automated dialing system. Every time he goes up to speak, he sounds like he has an IQ of 40. Good lord.
