Ewok Films and R2d2 and C-3PO Cartoons
I just remembered those Ewok films from the 80's as well as the R2D2 and C-3Po Films from the early 90's. Where do they fit in the canon of the SW universe? Or should we just discard them as heresy?

I think with the PT and possibly a hint that the two droids will stay within the Alderaan court until Ep. IV, the Droids cartoon is pretty much sunk. At least it´s premise. But with the new canon rules, certain relevant info can be extracted from it.
The Ewok movies and series? Heh, I´m not a glutton for punishment so I´ll stay away from THAT discussion.

The Ewok films weren't that bad, and I liked the cartoon. It was rather well done.
For the record, the C-3PO and R2-D2 cartoon was called Droids, and like the other entries, are in the EU. I don't think they're that low in the hierarchy, maybe upper or mid-level.
All three are coming to DVD in 2005, by the way...

The EU peoples have done a good job of rectifying stuff like this before. You know, they'll be with the court and then wander off [insert that period where the two swapped owners a million times here] and then found their way back in time for whatever happens in the movie.VT-16 wrote:I think with the PT and possibly a hint that the two droids will stay within the Alderaan court until Ep. The Ewok movies take place before the events of the original trilogy. I heard this from numourous locations and was also stated that the Ewoks understood Leia mainly due to the humans that came to Endor in the past (Ewok movies) the cool thing is that the kid was called Mace W...something

They're actually a higher level of official, and perhaps lower level canon. Certainly at the very least they seem to be regarded with a higher status than most of the EU.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:The Ewok films weren't that bad, and I liked the cartoon. It was rather well done.
