ANH clone problem (luke as Stormtrooper)

I'll probaly be flamed for this, but why pose as stormtrooper in DS1 with nobody wondering why that stromtrooper is shorter then others (Luke is 172 cm according SW.com and Clone/Strom trooper is 183 cm).

Chewie is not so good distraction that nobody wouldn't see an 11cm difference.

EDIT:added missing "not" that made the OP have sense.

Besides the Chewie distraction you also have to figure in the odds of people actually believing that someone could sneak onto the Death Star and impersonate a Stromtrooper.

Anyone who noticed his height was probably able to rationalize it away, because "there's no way anyone could possibly be impersonating a Stormtrooper on the Empire's super secret super powerful military base".

Besides, who would be dumb enough to even try, and why would they be escorting a Wookie prisoner if they were an imposter?

So I could see complacency because of the Death Star's secrecy and just beause it's the Death Star.

As long as Luke didn't do anything too odd I doubt anyone would go to the trouble of asking him any questions.

I think of this way: Stormtrooper walks by Luke "hey guy is too short. No I must mistaken, why They escort a Wookie unless they are..." and to Luke and Han"hey you there STOP!!!"

I think that a better explanation would be there is small amount "natural born" troopers in Stormtrooper ranks that make even other stormtrooper go "so what" on height difference.

Who says all the clones are from Jango Fett? Fett got beheaded twenty-something years before ANH, so odds are the cloners can't just lock him in a room with some jars and porno mags anymore, can they? By the time of ANH, stormtroopers could be cloned from any number of sources. The squads might even be a mixed bag with some cloned from Jango, some from other guys. You'll notice the trooper who hits his head is taller than the others.

They have Jango's body, also SW.com gives all stormtrooper the height (183 cm). "natural born" trooper theorie explains why Kyle Katarn can a Stormtrooper officer and why there only one stormtroopeer academy (in Carida). Cloned Stormtrooper are trained there were they are created

As was pointed out, they just figured no one would be stupid enough to try to try to impersonate a Stormtrooper, especially not on the Empire's most powerful holding, with Vader himself aboard. A space station is also a very bad place to be trapped.

Luckily for Our Heroes(TM), theyare that stupid...

I think no stormtrooper would be that stupid he wouldn't raport something as weird as too short stormtrooper with Wookie and have to face Vader if that trooper is revealed to be a rebel agent.

It's all not a big deal; SWI tells us that--as one could logically deduce by watching ANH--though the stormtroopers are clones, they are from all manners of different people, thus giving us different heights.

Besides, some troopers are recruits, so it's not unreasonable one is transferred onto the DS.

Another simple answer is that nobody gives a shit about stormtroopers. They're little better than droids and no one gives them a second glance, much less the time to notice their height. Unless they're rebel leaders in prison cells.

As for the other troopers, They're too well trained and programed to worry about that sort of thing. Eyes front soldier!

The stormtrooper height listed on the site could be an average. Or the "ideal" height.

Most Stormtroopers are clones; some are GeNodes, which means they come from different lines and have unique personalities and false memories and unaware they are clones, some are Kaminoan/Jango-style clones; other Stormtroopers are specially selected individuals or zealous volunteers from other branches of service.
