The memorial was destroyed with a sledge hammer on 18th November 1993 by members of the so-called Anti-Nazi League, a militant Marxist organisation. The destruction was obviously well planned, as it was filmed by the Scottish Television and the press printed pictures of the destruction.

Last I checked the topic of this was Rudolf Hess's historic memorial being destroyed by fundies. Wonder why people are ignoring it?
