No they were planted as we retreated. The purpose of the explosion was not to damage the front lines (though for all you know they could have been, and the Tortugans missed badly) but to rip apart your supply, communications, reinforcements, and other behind the line stuff. Then, after they exploded, we retreat. Now if you're sending these drones out this Mine hunting is going to take a long time letting me set up in the city, also I would expect that these mines, which would be both anit-personel and anti-tank, would be taking out quite a few of these drones as they went along. Finally how are you able to co-ordinate this action (cap ship strikes, stopping the advance, sending forward the drones, etc. etc.) when you've got nukes blowing up (they already blew up, and no more are coming yet) in your rear?Alyrium Denryle wrote:If that were the case, Marcao would have posted it, it would probably be best to work under the assumption that they were launched simply due to the change of people, it would make things much more fluid.Thirdfain wrote:Um, remember how that territory was under their control a few hours ago? Leaving a few explosive metal surprises to cover your retreat is hardly a new idea...They couldnt bury them between our landing sites and army proper, because we would see them and they would die. They would have had to be launched

Bail argument posted. Aly, I've been thinking how we are going to resolve this court case. I think it would be best if we went through all the proceedings, then after the closing arguments have been made, put up a poll thread and let the STGOD community be the jury. What say you?

My thoughts, too. We can't really count on a fair, impartial jury. But then again we are in danger of running into a position where I say hes innocent and Aly says hes guilty even at the end. That can end either in a deadlock or a post by Aly saying "I control the court, and I say he guilty." Im trying to think of what the most fair thing would be....

Actually, I would let him wlk on the espionage charges, and convict him on the attempted/consipiracy charges.Bugsby wrote:My thoughts, too. We can't really count on a fair, impartial jury. Impossible. This case obviously hinges on the espionage charge; if he isn't guilty of espionage then he logically cannot be guilty of a conspiracy to commit espionage.Alyrium Denryle wrote:Actually, I would let him wlk on the espionage charges, and convict him on the attempted/consipiracy charges.

Almost like you have ascertained that the BIC is related to the Hajr- oh, wait! You haven't!Krell took a sudden interest. "BIC op? I thought no one would ever contact us about that. I guess the Ousters are a big enough threat now that everyone will be looking for anything that they might have their fingers in. Who are the buyers?"
Watch what you type. No one knows who was behind the CoG yet.

Ah, but he knows that someone else was supporting the terrorist ops on Ix'ador because he has Krynori records and knows that they didn't fund the whole shebang, if I understand what he wrote correctly. As he pointed out when he announced the formation of the UPA before the diplomatic meeting forming it was even over () its hard to hide that kind of cash flow from someone who's really making it his business to look. He may not be able to finger the Hajr, but fingering the BIC itself wouldn't be beyond all reason.Thirdfain wrote:Almost like you have ascertained that the BIC is related to the Hajr- oh, wait! Those records have been through an evacuation and at least 2 major ground wars. They can't be too complete...Ah, but he knows that someone else was supporting the terrorist ops on Ix'ador because he has Krynori records and knows that they didn't fund the whole shebang, if I understand what he wrote correctly.

Filling in the blanks is a speciality of intelligence organizations. Using what they do know, they can often fill in the blanks of what they don't know. In any event, the amount of resources spent by the Krynor is really a mere fraction of the support the CoG got from various sources. Suffice to say that the figure of half should really be a high-end value.

Am I ever going to live that down? You just stopped posting, I assumed the meeting was over! BAH! Hehe, as I recall, after you yelled at me for that, you just made one more post to say "the meeting is over."Rogue 9 wrote:As he pointed out when he announced the formation of the UPA before the diplomatic meeting forming it was even over ()
Ah, that's in the past. As for this op, I assure you I have the intel I need. I talked this over with Thirdfain, and it's all good. Unfortuantely, I got a series of large posts ahead of me to get all this stuff in, and I will be busy for the next week or so. But you will get your intel soon enough. This is still the hiatus, right?

Illudium Q-36 - An air bike, in the style of the cruiser motorcycles of the late 20th century/early 21st. Design was by the famed Illudium Aeromotive, based in the OU. Highly customizable by their owners, modifications of the basic bike have included everything from a miniture kitchen, to full enclosed cockpits allowing limited space travel, to shield generators and small arms mounts. One of the more common modifications, due to it eventually being offered as a factory option, was the addition of the Everlast battery. Replacing the standard power crystal, it was billed as lasting the life of the bike, or free replacement. In essence it was a DC core wrapped around a .5 kg fuel rod.
Zat'Intar - A rather interesting sidearm. Capable of firing non-lethal stun shots, which are garunteed to be able to take down anything from a mouse, to a charging Tyrannosaurus Rex. Also capable of firing, after activating a hidden switch, a Zat blast, which with one hit, produces a rather painful stun, a second hit within a couple minutes will kill, and a third within another couple minutes will make the target disappear. Due to the recoiless nature of this weapon, it is capable of firing at a high rate of fire. When in Intar mode, both components activate, the Zat blast being transmuted into a rather painless stun shot. The switch required to deactivate the Intar component normally requires the disassembly of the gun. For reference, it's approximately the size of a Desert Eagle.
computer - powered by an Everlast battery with .1 kg fuel. Not fully integrated, so there is a seperate power source
PDA - it's a PDA
bike toolkit - contains electronics toolkit anfd mechanical toolkit
portable alarm clock - it's an alarm clock
suitcase w/ clothes -
passport - Minmatar origin. Shows him to be a full Minmatar citizen. Quite legit.

OK, I have just finished a big redesign of my concept fleet and I will post the related posts in the IC thread soon, but I would want to know if the modifications are acceptable.
I have get rid of several big ships in order to build the new ones and get the materials for the refit. The Constellations use a lot of things scrapped from decomissioned Clusters and the new strike frigates and pocket carriers are refitted escorts frigates and torpedo frigates.

Any remodeling of your fleet after the approved OOB has to be done in game (ask Alyrium on that). So if you want to do that, you're probably going to have to do it in game.Murazor wrote:OK, I have just finished a big redesign of my concept fleet and I will post the related posts in the IC thread soon, but I would want to know if the modifications are acceptable.
