Ted Kennedy on Terrorist Watch List!

Post by Glocksman »

VOA Story
One of the best-known U.S. senators says he has been misidentified as someone on a terrorism watch list at airports in recent months.
Democratic Senator Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts told the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday that the problem started in March.

He said some airline agents refused to sell him tickets because his name appeared on a "no fly" list. Mr. Kennedy said in each instance, a supervisor eventually recognized him and allowed him to get on the plane.

He said the misunderstanding persisted even after Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge personally intervened.

The Washington Post quotes a high-ranking administration official as saying the name "T. Kennedy" has been used as an alias by someone on the list of terrorists. The senator is commonly known as "Ted" Kennedy.
Well, Ted's done enough damage to the country to qualify as a terrorist. :P
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier

Given the otther shit they've pulled, I wouldn't exactly be shocked if his name was added by someone somewhere along the lines just to fuck with him.

It makes you wonder: what exactly is the recourse for people who accidentally get put on the terrorist watch list who aren't Senators?

Why are they preventing Ted Kennedy from getting on a plane when they should be preventing him from getting in cars? Especially around rivers.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Who said that? Or is it an urban myth?

A friend of my uncle's. Actually it may be false if you count everyday work accidents that happen to occur at nuclear power plants, but that's nitpicking.

I believe proper procedure is to bend over and take it up the tailpipe.
