This "smear campaign" term has just started appearing ever since John Kerry started crying and accusing Bush of collaborating the the 527's. It's not as though this is a new thing, but sides do it, and have been doing it forever.Natorgator wrote:He would have been smeared as crazy and unstable. Other than that, IMO he was rock solid on all the issues.

Well, the Constitution doesn't disqualify dead people from running, does it? And if it does, they can always do what they did in Weekend at Bernie's and make the dead body look like it's alive.MKSheppard wrote:He's also very very dead.Thinkmarble wrote:Lyndon LaRouche for president !

That doesn't stop people from voting in Chicago, it shouldn't stop a person from running for president.

Have you ever noticed that the constitution makes no requirements at all for a person to be a Supreme Court justice? Think of the fun you could have with that.Sea Skimmer wrote:MKSheppard wrote:

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red
