Look, about Tortuga- Westrey has VERY clear public support for a return to pre-war situation, with Tortuga untouched and it's fleet intact. So clear that Etern warships are in fact en-route to the region right now, with the blessings of half known space. He's arguing from strength, and he should know that.

You know, the Etern are friggin' next door to the Draconis. Look at the map.

We mosey. And besides, you ever tried to get Nordic warriors to go straight to the target? Every third port, they stop in, they rape, they pillage, they set fire to shit. Then the Captain has to go EXPLAIN....

Marcao, the way I see it is that your entire case boils down to demaning "reparations." As a merc power, I can attest that this isn't a very good in-game policy. People will go through "money" like water. You would settle the Tortuga dispute by making Aly sacrifice a sum total of NOTHING. Well, nothing that really matters. The 5th part of the treaty might be interesting, seeing as how the Starkiller murders may come out, but in truth, Aly can dodge around that so easily it's rediculous. It's a weak treaty.

Not really. If he were really so cavalier about his budget, he'd have taken Straha's treaty and just paid for everything.

I disagree. But let us see what comes. I know that Aly has paid me twice recently, and with Tortuga added, he is blowing a HUGE chunk of his government's budget. If he goes with this treaty, I just want to see a suffering economy, one that lasts for a good long chunk of time.

It is safe to assume that my place is absolutely clear, as well.

Directly on the Draconis border. I'm pretty sure Alyrium's original intentions were to blast the pirates and annex them quietly, but nobody played along and it ended up being a complete fiasco.

Ooooooooo, he paid you 1/3rd of a payment of a piddling 14 million for the intel. I'm so sure that'll break a national budget. What else did he pay you for?

It's not like Arkantos is a major player in galactic politics. It was basically a colony that rebelled, like I said, during the UBT invasion. So I'm really just taking back whats rightfully mine.

Yeah, and it's not like Tortuga is a major player in galactic politics. It is basically a fiefdom that supported pirates, like Alyrium said, basically the whole time. So Alyrium was just protecting what was rightfully his.

And you know what, the difference between them is simply that he pulled it off and Alyirum didn't. Rather like a lot of the NPNs that were conquered under varying justifications.

Rogue given the UP's history of cival war, we would be rather sympethic to the Manities over this.

Thridfain, all execs are getting the fine tooth comb treatment before leaving and some may be "unavoidablly detained."

I imagine your news service has some screaming to do now.

I imagine you need to pay more attention. There are no BIC execs in your nation.

The BIC was formed 10 years ago. Your nation has been on the scene for only a handful of months. You may have some trade offices with BIC affiliates, but you certainly have no one of importance.

Oh, and nice metagaming, kids. I hope when you foolks find evidence accusing ME of espionage, you send me letters asking if I did it rather than battlefleets.
