Besides, I would imagine that even the strongest astropaths would only be able to pinpoint a ships exact location if it had a large fully sentient crew. This close, you may know how many, but you couldnt pin down an exact location....

Bugsby, you forget. It could be me. Highly unlikely, given where you are, but remember that I did get all the Overseer salvage that Fifth Fleet with the help of a few bulk freighters could hump back to Orodan.

Also, if you can pull off coincidences like that, why is it that people will moan when I get an intercept out of Farpoint? IIRC, information that I've tried to get out of there has only been allowed to stand once.

Overseer tech has a very discreet and obvious signature, with the exception of Doomed.

Only when active. You'd know very quickly if someone got a Construct running on, say, Earth, partly because the things bleat into the Cosmos for Daddy.

The HBC had only been a Hajr puppet for a handful of months now. Some of it's members had been sequestrated, and others had been replaced. It was not a particularly overt organization, but it was a useful courier for small objects and cargoes that needed to be disseminated across the Rimwards Edge without anyone noticing.

Perhaps the presence of three unexpected extra people on board? The crews of ships aren't generally totally incompetent, you know. They'll know something's going on unless the vamps spent the entire voyage in gaseous form.

It's an HBC ship. The captain can say he's taken on some extra passengers to make a buck. They can live in a fucking cargo container, and no one would be the wiser. Hell, there's TONS of ways to smuggle around people, when you run the shipping line

Not quite Copies, Copies=bad. More like cheap Taiwanese knockoffs. Not that we aren't working on duplicating certain things, but we have realistic goals in the short term.

Edit: oh, and Bugsby, how exactly are you detecting something as the Overseer's when it is very specifically being built with a different power source and computer core, simply following the general physical construction plan? In the middle of a secret and stealthed base? Unless the freaking alloy that you make the things out of somehow puts out an interplanetary energy signature, I'm calling bullshit. Detecting experiments with creation of the Doomed is even more absurd.

I'm calling it both ways here. Bugsby picking it up with his small ships is... absurd. However, the Doomed are detectable, and (as Nitram has said) the overseer and his programmers know exactly where they are at all times. That being said you've got time, but the second someone who has one of the programmers (me or Thirdfain) gets them working thwy will be found.
