Well, one would assume they could clone the most consistently high preforming gunners and use flash learning on them... Were this Zhan's cloning techniques anyway...

Well, considering the only real similarity they share is that both are longer than they are wide (and the waveskimmer is additionally taller than it is wide), I'd say it's just somewhat of a coincidence.

Concerning R2 giving the Droideka a Kick To The Groin, if true it could be explained as the Droideka having a great deal of servos and other mechanics in its abdomin that are somewhat sensitive to extreme direct impact. We know that droids do have a sense that corresponds to pain, so R2's blow could have been hard enough to overwhelm it's sensor system that it caused it to collapse.

Hmm, I was more thinking about their superficial looks, but I guess you´re right. ^^

Voice comes from a number of sources, mainly how you hear others speaking. Since twins will have similar but not exact experiences, some variation will be expected. The fact that they do have exact voices is thus stunningly beneficial to us. It shows that SW appears to have some variation of "mind uploading" and "downloading" in canon. Basics like vocabulaty and how to talk, how to walk, basic education, and a number of other things would have been copied from Jango. If this is the case, then the 5 years are spent in military training, not a required part of the growth process. Thus, from the canon, we can now point out that the only restriction on clone growth is acceleration speed, since fully trained clones can then be uploaded and downloaded, saving 10 years off the process.
In a battle with no additional identification at the visual level save for color coding for broad rank, it is stupid to condition all Clonetroopers to have identical voices; it makes for difficulty identifying fellow soldiers and officers in combat.
They probably identify each other when speaking like the Navy does on wifcoms. Might want to ask Wilkins or someone though.
GL is losing his hinges, I am telling you.

The Hyperspace weekly "Before the Helmet" picture series released a spectacular, near-complete (I say that because GL always tweaks stuff until the last minute) of the opening space battle over Coruscant. The shot's taken from the view of Anakin's fighter cockpit, observing a bunch of "buzz" droids that have attached themselves to the hull of Obi-wan's fighter. In the background, you can see the guns of a Venator SD, and what seems to be the Trade Federation "Baracuda" cruiser.

I may or may not have this image on my saved hardrive, but even if all interested kindly posted their e-mail addresses, I wouldn't be able to send this pic because of Hyperspace rules, and that LFL's lawyers will come 'a hunting then.

Heaven forbid that this picture could somehow arrive at my email address of vympel (at) stardestroyer.net. The very thought is repugnant to me.

You'd have to er, delete the files... in the direction of stofsk (at) hotmail.com. As in delete them... by sending them someplace else... where they'll be deleted. You can trust me.

Yes. That makes sense.

Like Darth Zap, I've got a Gmail account under my SD.net name, too.

While I'm not suggesting that it should end up there, it certainly physically could...

I thought about that, but I seem to be gifted when it comes to avoiding spam. I've had the same hotmail address for 3 years, no filter on, and I get about 2 spam mails a week, if that. ^_^

I would just like to say that in the interest of safety for the entire board, nay the entire internet, the afore mentioned non-existent material must be sent directly to shantz(at)stardestroyer.net for immediate sanitization.

That is all.
