I fail to see how I'm harmed in any of this. Atlantean worlds are of no use to me, given how far away they are. Last thing I need is Ouster-like supply lines. :P

Though, I am curious as to how Straha managed to get his first fleet to simply teleport instantly to the Atlantean systems the very moment the subject is brought up. ;)

Edit: Aly, shut up.

If I recall correctly, the people left, and the planet and resources are left behind. I think I can deal with that, and if worst comes to worst I can rent out some Gladshiem equipment.

What, it's a water world? It's a jungle-world full of dangeorus animals? I'm fuckin' scared, nooch!

We've got guns and major industrial equipment. Environmental problems can be handled.

Right, they've been gone... a week. I figure from Monacora is less than a week away, I also figure seeing as how I almost went to war with Aly just about two weeks ago that my fleets would be active. And that, hey free worlds! Off they go.

If you want to claim worlds, go ahead. They're plenty left to go around, I just picked the prime ones.

So? The planets are wet, ooh I'm terrified. We're all going to drown. While it may be uninhabitable, it's a perfect excuse to do something Monacora would NEVER do otherwise... STRIP MINE! When all this stuff blows over I'll throw a party, and everyone will be invited as we make our first strip mines. But, untill then, these worlds are under my control, and I'm doing absolutley nothing with them untill I say so.

Atlantis:
The home world has vast oceans that are extremely dangerous to the careless. Large Cities cover the coastlines with sea walls that extend sometimes out several miles. Deep in under the surface there are domed cities as well as highly guarded and well hidden cave cities that have been used since the dawn of their recorded time. The gravity is about 1.5g’s and the atmosphere is about 2-2.5 times thicker than earths the planet is also closer to the sun causing most of it to seem tropical mean temperatures at the equator are around 122-140degrees Fahrenheit with 100% humidity.
Straha, those worlds are completely uninhabitable by terrestrial life. Why in the hell would you bother?

If your first fleet can't, you know, actually do anything in combat, why would they be mobilized for war, instead at home defending your shipping lanes? I don't care if you make a grab for the worlds, but doing it out of blue like magic in one post is kind of, well, cheesy. Set it up first, then make your move. That's generally how these things are done.

I'll say it again. Aly, silence yourself, for the love of all that is.

So, if they're defending the shipping lanes they're still mobile.

If you want I could turn that post into modified Hyperspace probes that we used to find the Overseer, or even a public statement from the Prince. But I still fail to see the problem(s.)

The resources, the minerals, the atmosphere, the water, the left over cities, you know, relativley valuable stuff. Usually I make it a point to inhabit worlds, but if they're uninhabitable, strip mining can begin.

Perhaps an Alliance fleet will be dispatched to protect the environments?

Drawing away an entire fleet is a pretty large call, but hey, whatever man.
If you want I could turn that post into modified Hyperspace probes that we used to find the Overseer, or even a public statement from the Prince. But I still fail to see the problem(s.)
The other posts sound good, but the point remains that general etiquette of the STGOD seems to require at least two parts to any major action, the set up, and the follow through. This wasn't set up, it was just done, that's the only thing I really have a problem with. If you want to claim the worlds, it's all good, I just had a problem with your fleet suddenly showing up out of thin air to do the job. :)

Consider it... the set up of the actions to come! But I see your point, I think I was mostly pissed that I hadn't grabbed them before when I wanted to.
