That's a shame. Well, Im not burning at dead husks. Once they go offline, Im leaving them alone. If there are any guys still in pressurized areas, they will not be harmed.

Frigid, I assume you took into account the week-long transit time?

Yes, before the Veithan investgation begin, I posted my Ambassador handing a note to the Veithan government, give me a movement and I'll dig up the page...

It was a request to move through his territory, Marcoa accepted and give me other great goodies, intelligence on your movements for example in the sector, which are most likey generalizations at best I'll grant you. I'm sure we can hammer something out.

Well during the investagation, they moved into place. The order was if they did not hear a call to return by such and such date, they were to assume that the Hajr invaded the White Suns and we were at war.

Duh. Ever consider that we don't want to see that rest of the Alliance adding to it?

Ok, NOW I have a bone to pick.

I just checked back to my post on the bombing of Hudson. Since then, you've all made NO mention of fleets leaving your territories. Now, I might have missed something- but if you haven't, I have a problem with the way this was carried out (not with the action itself- it's hardly unexpected, and a very logical move.)

Major fleets leaving their home ports is hard to hide. If your ships were already out on maneuvers and the like, and left for my space from there, fine- assuming you declared the maneuvers. If not, I'd like to have this looked in to.

Nothing wrong with my post. I was just tracking the Draconis. Aly had his fleets positioned around his core worlds. A large portion of them are no longer there. The "massive fleet" wasn't the whole unified UPA fleet, just Aly's portion of it. If you want, I can edit to make that clearer...

Yeah, that's what I was doing. Since they never posted "fleets leaving", I did it for them. Sorry guys. I know you want to get around to nuking Elysium, but we got seven days when you are in hyperspace and we have a chance to do some stuff at home....

I did post leaving. It was in the post with the massive reshuffling of forces. Nitram saw it.

Dude, it's a Cluster. It's a pressurized environment. You shoot capship missiles into it in enough places (Thousands are enough places) and she'll start to depressurize. Getting the industry without getting the Ousters who live and work amongst the tangle is impossible.

So, your military shipyards are built in to your major population centers? :wtf:

Didn't anyone pay attention? My military shipyards are almost ALL in Eketrina and Known Space. Only a handful of escort slips are in Elysium. I told Frigid that Candaris was a training sight and source of manpower for the Hajr, not a shipyard!

It's a little silly to expect that major capital shipyards would be entirely untargetable for destruction without killing billions. Such a factory would have to be completely filled with homes and have no room for actually, well, building ships.

However, if this system does not have a major shipyard, that is something else entirely.

So we're to understand that the birthplace of a major invasion fleet has no industry?!?

Well, it's not like they're right there. But smashing the station enough to get the shipyards and other facilities, especially with missles, is going to totally FUBAR the entire station.

It has no major shipyards! Frigid asked me for a system name, didn't specify one with major shipyards, and I gave him Candaris, telling him:
If you mean Elysium, then how about Candaris? It's one of the main sources of manpower for the Hajr, and has large training facilities for Hajr ground troops on the Cluster and on the planet below. It's heavily defended, of course, as any core system- but has no defensive fleets.
He then opened fire.

My major capital wombs are at Eketrina, with copies being built at Edean and outside of Jormungandr. This is no secret.

As I recall, the big deal with Ouster "re-entry" into known space is that they came into Hudson dragging their entire industry with them. This is all in the diplomacy thread, I believe....
