Eketrina, on the other hand, is almost ALL Hajr members. Of course, many of them don't do "military" things, but they are all Hajr members, who purposefully left their home clusters to expand the Diaspora. It's a legitimate military target, thouogh it is also one of the hardest targets- the Cluster and it's shipyards are encased in excellent point defense and a planetary-level shielding system that would take even a fleet like yours an hour or so to break.

Why do you think we send such a gigantic combined fleet? We expected that kind of resistance at Elysium.Thirdfain wrote:Eketrina, on the other hand, is almost ALL Hajr members. Rogue9, BTW, I've made it clear enough often enough as to the nature of Eketrina, and I'm not going to allow the Mulligan to pull your fleets all the way back to Known Space. You're in Elysium, you can turn around and hit some target in Known Space, or you can do whaty you will in Elysium. S'up to you, but I think I'd oppose an instant retconning of your move to Elysium.

I have no intention of retconning all the way back to Known Space, just back to where we open fire. We had bad intel, we're turning around and going back.

Moving to Elysium, not opening fire, and moving on, I think would be the order of business.

Aly, post your ships in-system. Giving fleet numbers doesnt help if you havent put what those fleet numbers suggest in the OOB.
Danielbsen, same thing. But know that you won't be getting there for a long time now. I don't know where you are exactly, cuz Hotfoot never put you on the map, but you are a BARE MINIMUM of 18 hours away. And it's probably closer to 2 days.

Yes, now how about addressing my proof that no Alliance ships could possibly have been in Monacoran space? Everyone knows now where that task force actually was; in order for it to get to Elysium it would have had to be long gone from Known Space by the time that fleet was supposedly filmed, and everything else was in port at the time, though that's rapidly going to change.

He went through my warning nets, hence the fleets being already en route when they showed up outside the oort cloud of one of my core worlds

Aren't you paying attention? The Warning nets on a world will pick up the enemy 15-20 minutes out. Your strategic, nation-wide nets would only be able to pick up the fact his fleet as a faint contact at the edge of their range, you'd know he's coming, but not to which world.
Only once one of your system's nets went off would you know what world he's hitting.
-edit- this was ALL established prior to my attacks on the White Suns. He knows I have a fleet diving towards his core worlds, but not which one they are heading to.

Hey Nitram, what's the nature of your operatives' safehouse or wherever they're staying on Pinnacle?

Didint we agree on the Net of Increasingly Small Holes idea, in which the closer one gets to core words, the more likely they are to be detected?

EDIT: I should note, such agents are all over the Alliance.

YEah, that's what we agreed. Once a fleet gets without 20 minutes of a core world, the it's nets go off and you know where they are headed.
On the other hand, when they are approaching the core worlds region, you won't get a signal an HOUR out, saying where the enemy will head. You'll get some contacts from the edge of your colony's nets, indicating enemy fleets are coming, but not telling you what systems they are headed for.
This has been dealt with already to stop EXACTLY what you are doing, in other words, instantly having all your ships in position to block an attack.

if you can tell where they are, you can send fleets in their general direct, and essentially follow them.... But of course, that possibility gets ignored.

Hmm... It occurs to me that I should probably specify what the light freighter I'm taking to Lastport is like:
20 ton cargo capacity.
Military grade AM reactor
corvette level shielding
6 PDS clusters
Carrying a number of computers as cargo, as well as some "medical" supplies, and other various high-value compact items.

You honestly think Frigid is going to allow non-allied military grade anything into Lastport?Beowulf wrote:Hmm... It occurs to me that I should probably specify what the light freighter I'm taking to Lastport is like:
