The latest from Mr. Virus-X .

Mike see what he said about you..but still he does not have the guts to actually say it to you, nor he didnt even try to disprove your calcs.

You shoud real less of Mike Wong's analysis, and learn to think for youself, for a change. Wong 'analysis' of thing is so full of lies, it isn't even funny, anymore. Furthermore, I never said that the crust offered any unusual resistance. In the fraction of a second that the screen shot was available, the crust superheated and was destroyed. If you read the book "A New Hope", you'll see a description that the rocks were superhot. Furthermore, you need to stop looking at such shots in frame-by-frame; it's that kind of supidity that makes you think the crust lasted longer than it did.

are complete nonsense, and you've nothing to back it up with, as usual. Current military and intelligence community facilities abroad utilize the highest in technologies, and are not hampered by the fact that they might be discovered. If they use the highest in stealth technologies, this decreases the probability of being found. Furthermore, considering that according to the Essential Guide to Vehicles & Vessels, the standard Imperial I-class star destroyer has 60 turbolasers, and, using the figures from Incredible Cross Sections for Episode 2, they're about 100 gigatons each in destructive power. 1 Kiloton of TNT is equal to about 4.18 terajoules (4.18^12), 1 megaton is 4.18^15 and 1 gigaton is equal to about 4.18^18 joules. So, a 100 gigaton blast should be about 418^18 joules. This is substantially higher than the yields offered at www.stardestroyer.net. 60 Of them would yield about 2.508^19 joules. However, that is nowhere near what is required to make an explosion 30-35 percent the diameter of an Earth-like planet. Your estimate of "...Hmm 200 teratonns for MTL's..." is absolutely senseless, and you've shown nothing to give it any substance.
==============================================

==============================================
You have no evidence that the 'iso' in isoton is a prefix, and, according to Star Trek: the Magazine, it is not. Additionally, if there is only kiloton yield on-screen, why in the episode "Skin of Evil", we clearly see a photon torpedo detonation from space? Why in "the Die is Cast" do we see plasma torpedo detonations that are 30-35 percent planetary diameter. You don't know what you're talking about. According to them (who get their answers from the staff writers) all it is is a unit of measurement. In one episode, where the Maquis had abducted Gul Dukat (Star Trek: Deep Space 9, "The Maquis, Pt 2"), wheat husks were measured in isotons.

Clearly, 5,000,000 isotons couldn't be equal to 5 megatons of TNT, considering it would take 5.09E+37 (50,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons) of TNT to destroy the star system. Looking into that link will show you that, and further disprove the tired "equal to" theory.

You want us to take this apart for you, or do you wanna finish the job yourself? I won't go posting on other boards just to tackle one lone idiot, but I would be happy to provide support for you if you need it from here.

MoO i think i can handle him. His arguments are mostly based on lies anyway so i think i can take him down, but as allways idiots are hard to crack since they are ignorant.

Support would be nice. I would need analysis of the TDiC attack to Founders homeworld scene since i havent seen the ep. But the rest of his attacks i can handle but its hard to handle something that i dont know of.

His attacks are crappy. Do you want me to take apart that particular post, or just be here if you have a specific question or concern that he bring up?

About taking these arguments apart, i allready countered them pretty easilly but there are some points like the TDiC of which i do not know much.

I'm amazede there are still rabid Trekkies out there. They're remnants from an otherwise extinct species. I say defeat them, overcoming their Walls of Ignorance and Black Knight Syndrome.

I wouldn't mind you steppiung in and bitchslaping him, I just managed to get access to the page, but still can't post and just found the extent of his idiocy. Since I am leaving for the weekend, I think another person stepping in would be good.

Agreed.

MoO if you have some analysis etc. of the TDiC scene that this guy so much relies on i would really appreciate it if you would share it.
