The campaign group Fathers 4 Justice said protester Jason Hatch, from Cheltenham, in western England, scaled the palace's outer fence helped by a would-be accomplice, Dave Pyke, dressed as comic hero Batman's sidekick Robin.
Read the article. :P

He was stopped by police while he was trying to climb over the fence.

I think the police made the wrong decision personally; they should have shot "Batman" even if only to wound him.
At least that way these idiots would think twice next time.

The campaign group Fathers 4 Justice said protester Jason Hatch, from Cheltenham, in western England, scaled the palace's outer fence helped by a would-be accomplice, Dave Pyke, dressed as comic hero Batman's sidekick Robin.

Meanwhile, other protesters distracted the attention of armed police by climbing on the front gate.

The group said police had threatened to shoot Pyke unless he got down from the fence, "which we think is unacceptable because this is a peaceful, non-violent protest." Police declined to comment on the incident.
Don't think that ever happened in the comic...

I almost said "already posted", however, I put this as a bylink in a post in the Fantasy forum.

According to that, Robin was told 'Don't go over that fence, or we'll shoot you' by the Bobbies.

Aside from the fact that we've moved on somewhat since the '50s Bobbies only needing a baton to deter evoldoers, if you threaten the Queen, you're going to get a lead enema either way.

Oh, I know that one. Blood & guts, squeezed into a sausage and boiled.

Great protest, because whenever I see Batman I immediately think of custody rights for divorced fathers.

I liked this part of the article.
Officers, facing their second security breach in four months after the group pelted Prime Minister Tony Blair with flour-filled condoms, took five hours to finally bring the protester down from Queen Elizabeth's London residence.

I would have shot at him. A couple of near misses would sort him out. Unfortuntatly people would then whine that the police overreacted.

Two words.

FIRE HOSE.

Fall down.

Get hurt.

Which two depends on the time line of the observer.

It's the Queen Stravo, different rules apply. (Hell the police are the least of your worries they are not toy soldiers standing guard and they are not Toy guns they carry either)
From a review of the two Towers.... 'As for Gimli being comic relief, what if your comic relief had a huge axe and fells dozens of Orcs? That's a pretty cool comic relief. '
