Ladeez and Gents;

My webste is down currently. I talked to my IP yesterday, and he ssaid there was a power failure. However today, the main h4h.com website is back up, but it looks as though my website has been erased.

So, I'll be moving to a new location soon. I tried using an AOL-provided website, but got tired of the idiotic "easy steps" guide to putting up a webpage that seems to frown on putting straight code on a blank page!

Actually, I might transfer my efforts from Star Wars vs Trek, to Star Wars fans vs asshole Star Wars fans!

I think you should keep the page nominally alive- remember, it ain't over until Revenge of the Sith is out- there'll definitely be a few new issues of ROTS, and possibly some idiotic distortions to smite.

According to reports, Wayne Poe's "Ultimate" Wars vs. Trek site is down, and may not be back per Poe's statements. Though it might seem an odd invitation given our history, I would like to offer to host the Vs. Debate content of the fallen site. There are so few organized sites out there, and it seems a shame to lose what's left (especially given the historical status of the site, which spawned both Wong's site and my own). Wayne, you can reach me via Feedback. (Similarly, the old pages of Michael January seem to flip-flop, and may now be down altogether. If anyone knows how to reach him, I make the same offer.)

That's actually very nice. Of course, given that the combination of anti-matter and matter would destroy the entire internet if they were every hosted on the same server ...

What Scooter doesn't seem to realize is, I'm largely DONE with the whole VS thing, as far as the website is concerned. I'm going to revive a few informative pages, like the "Myths and Legends" page, and things of that nature. But frankly, Mike pretty much has the who VS situation covered.

Still, I think you should keep the core stuff up, there's a lot of good stuff there, it'd be a shame to not have it on file, you'd be surprised how often I go there just to find something I can't recall. Let Mike do it.

Hey, this may be a golden opportunity...

Anyone have opinions on my Star Wars pages? Which ones did you find the most informative? Which did you visit the most? Which did you like the least, and considered a waste of time?

A revamp would be nice, along with proposed new pages for our new friends I'll be berating as time allows!

So that's what happened! I was trying to get to your site and it just wouldn't pop up! I have it bookmarked, and I figured the computer was just screwy, so I googled it, still didn't pop up.

What kind of server software is he using? Does he use Apache? If he is, you can put an .htaccess file in the old directory that will automatically send visitors to the old site over to your new one.

I'm not sure what he's doing. He's been a very friendly but very evasive guy all these years.

OK, I looked at his headers and he's running Apache. Just make a file called .htaccess in your "louis" directory (yes, the leading period is part of the filename), with contents like this:

Redirect vsfaq.html http://www.mrpoesmorgue.com/

If his web directories are set up as I imagine they are, you should be able to type the old http://www.h4h.com/louis/vsfaq.html address into your browser and you'll get automatically bounced to the new one.
