Alderaan. I have to give them credit for building the cities while preserving their planet's natural beauty alongside them.

I'd go with Coruscant because it has the most diverse architecture of any of the planets listed. That and I'm just in love with the whole city-world, flying car concepts.

Alderaan Being Dead Has nothing to do with this topic its who has the best buildings not where is the best plae to live. BTW I hope that we will be seeing Alderaan in Episode III so we will better apreaciate what the Empire blew to bits and why everyone cared so much about this one little planet getting killed when there are literally millions of inhabited worlds out there with higher population than Alderaan.

Cloud City does have the distintion of being completely unique. Alberaan has some real cool sites, like Creviss City for example.

I just really like the soaring columns on Alderaan though i really like just hwo well both cities fit into their environment. Both Coruscant and Nar Shadda eliminate the environment to place the buildings in context which is why I didn't chose them while most of the other planets simply don't have the sweep that the others have.

I vote for Romulus. Romulus looks beautiful and it is not as croweded as Coruscant. Alderaan doesn't exist anymore...

Weather or not Alderaan exists any more has nothing to do with this topic. This is about architechture not where would be the best place to live.

I'm inclined to go with Minbar, but out of the choices provided I'll pick Romulus, followed by Trek Earth.

Nothing beats real-world earth for varity, however. :)

I want variety in the architecture, but I'll go with Naboo.

As for Corellia, those 2 balls in the picture make me giggle.

Trek Earth? You mean that bland non-descript metal-ish architecture? Its possibly the most boring of all the planets presented.

Coruscant is awe inspiring with its giant buildings and city scape but it would not be my choise.

Alderaan is lovely with its ivory towers along side the incredable landscape.

But my choise would have to be Naboo, simply for the fact that they incorperate the enviroment with their buildings. The combination of the stone work with the greenery is quite enjoyable to behold. The statues around the cities are interesting in a greek myth type of way and the grand vista's around the cities are breath taking. Taking a stroll through a hanging garden type city and then resting either in view of a water fall or lushes green fields as far as the eye can see is appealing to me.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

For whoever said Alderaan doesn't exist anymore....as of the current NJO, Coruscant as we knew it doesn't exist either.

Coruscant stands tall Agreed.
Alderan's Landscape Architecture is part Architecture. Do not feel unable to praise the designer who builds in such a way to impove the natural landscape without destroying what is there.
It apears to be True Organic Architecture To the Nth Degree. :D

I voted for Coruscant there was something about the scene where the buildings are pocking out of the clouds. That scene was so sweet

This is what Architecture must do.

Yes. The builders of naboo's cities carefully planned it an a spectacular location. from the air of the ground it is beutiful. I am torrn between the two as to which is more in harmony with their environments.

Id have to vote for Naboo, personally. To me, it seems to best serve the purpose of giving a living space that is both functional and attractive.

Corusant, for all its stark technological beauty, is simply too overbuilt for my taste. Likewise, the Earth of ST:TNG I just couldnt belive in. A bit too shiny-happy-people holding hands, I couldnt live there.

Modern Earth? I do live there. I know better. ~G~
