that´s not a chance. as a foreigner you´re not allowed to just come to china and do any job you like to.
that´s not what i´m suggesting either.
you need to get a job at a western company for a job in china. that´s allowed. and check the internet. it´s full of job offers of western companies for jobs in china.
several friends and a former teacher of mine went permanently or temporarily to china. all of them liked it there.

As long as you stay in the cities, it's fine. But those jobs all require either some sort of experience in the field, some sort of training (which requires time and possibly money) or connections, and I doubt it's a terribly realistic prospect for either Tevar or Nitram.

I would recommend moving to Arizona or Nevada, and taking a community college course or two in real estate, and taking the bar exam. The housing market out west is very healthy, and you can make a good amount of money as a real estate agent.

You seem to be assuming she has a healthy "rainy day" fund which she can live off of while she's spending months or years acquiring these skills.

You may even be able to do something similar in WV. Even if people arent moving into the state, people still need to move AROUND the state, and such people require real estate agents.

commission is IIRC 4% if you list the house on the market, 3% if you sell it. It would be possible with a few home sales to restore Nitrams credit, pay off any debts, and then start saving up to move to a more productive state. One could even train for this WHILE working regular day job. Depending on the program of study(I know MCC here was flexible enough for that)

Alyrium? The apartments we're living in have been on the market for 10 years. There's houses near us that have been on the market for the past year. We have more RealEstate Agents in Charleston than you can shake a stick at, and the house listings take up most of the classifieds in the paper. Why? Becuase people are leaving.

Actually, you'd be suprised at how many western businesspeople work a specific foreign country without ever actually bothering to learn more than a few words of the language.

i´m just wondering why so many people seem to be opposed to moving someplace else. it won´t only give you a job, but it´s also interesting. and if you don´t like it you can just move on.

Because it's home. I can't speak for LadyTevar, but while I bitch about the way things are run here and enjoy visiting new places, it's still home. In my case, I'd permanently leave southwestern Indiana only if forced to at gunpoint.

And I'm superstitious. When I was young, I had a very vivid dream where I moved away from WV, and came back in six months to be buried.
