This is exactly what I was trying to avoid when I made this a headshot contest. I knew full well that many people were going to vote based on who was putting it out there the most, and I didn't want that to be a factor, because I don't want any contestant to feel like they have to show skin in order to be a contender. I only even made that stipulation that contestants could show as much or as little skin as they wanted because I figured that people might not have real headshots convenient, not so that contestants could be judged based on t3h b00bees.

I want to say again that this is not the Best B00bees contest. God.

Besides, our other glamour queens didn't smile much either. Maybe it's just my face.

I had to double check to make sure, but the only ladies not smiling besides yourself are Bohemianfey and Foo. All of you are pretty, but you'd be even prettier if you smiled.

I apologize to everyone for letting the spam and personal remarks get out of hand. Let's make one thing clear: it does not say anything bad about a person that she chooses to show us a more or less revealing picture of herself. It is wonderful if a female chooses to show us a nice face shot. It is also wonderful if a female chooses to show us a shot which reveals more of herself. Does it give an "advantage"? It doesn't fucking matter; this thread should exist in order to let us express our appreciation for our lovely ladies. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you if you don't win, assuming a vote even takes place at all. We all win if we have fun with this thing.

From here on, comments in this thread which make even vaguely negative implications about the personalities of the women present will be ruthlessly oppressed.

I don't know about cancelling it, although I do think that perhaps we might want to skip having an actual poll, and just leave it with peoples' comments.

I also think we should register our gratitude to all of the women who graced us with their pictures, particularly bohemianfey. Regardless of whether you think she was the winner, it is indisputable that she put in the greatest effort to take a bunch of beautifully done pictures for us.

Yes, that is probably the best compromise. Besides, I've never really cared for an actual poll, that is unless the ladies wants to continue on with it. Jesus Fucking Christ, what the hell is the matter with you people? The ladies of this board, few as they are, decide to grace us with pictures of themselves and people pull this shit? I know there are only a handful responsible, but this entire situation has turned what should have been a fun contest into something reprehensible.

In a sense maybe we are all at fault here since we all more or less agreed to this contest even knowing that there were a few that would not be able to restrain themselves from ruining the situation by pestering girls about pics and making the whole thing super competative. Also, I think that the constant jabs by people (even as harmless jokes) for women on this board to post pics over the past few months has only added fuel to the fire. One person prodding a girl to post a picture is harmless, but I have seen some girls asked literally dozens of times for pictures to be posted and IMO this has to stop now. I know most of these people don't mean any harm but it has caused a general atmosphere that has built this contest up to intollerable levels. If I was a girl, I wouldn't even think about posting another picture on the board and that makes me really upset to think that there are people here who simply cannot control their behavior and act like mature adults about this.

We owe it to ourselves to find a way to deal with this problem and I think personally that the best thing to do is simply to crack down on asking girls to post pictures of themselves, even if it is done in cute suggestive ways. I wish it wasn't necessary, but personally I don't see any other solution; it's hard enough to be a girl on this board without all the cults, fanwhoring and request for pics that they get constantly. I like the female members here and I want to provide them with a place they feel that they can come to and not worry about sickos pestering them for all sorts of crap and making them feel uncomfortable. If the girls want to post pictures of themselves, let's welcome them to do so and let's do it without all the slobbering that typically plagues such postings. But the girls of this board know if they want to post pics of themselves and constant prodding does nothing but make them feel uncomfortable in my opinion. I know the main subject of this board isn't exactly about maturity, but I urge people on this board to be more mature about this in the future.

BTW, Mike, if you don't want this rant here please feel free to split it, I just wasn't sure where you wanted me to put it.

EDIT: Oh, and to all the ladies who posted in this thread, I would like to say that I think you are all quite lovely and you have my thanks for gracing us with pics of yourself.

Either way, this thing became a clusterfuck, but at heart it had at least intentions in the right area.

In fairness to the board members, there were only a handful of members who caused these problems. But when you think about it, that's inevitable too; you can't have hundreds of people participating in something without at least a few malcontents. That's why I said earlier that we should refrain from ever holding "contests" again, at least where the appearance of any individual member is concerned. Comments or honestly constructive suggestions are OK, but the minute you have a contest where there's going to be winners and losers, there's just too much potential for problems.

Guys are accustomed to being insulted on their appearance, so it's not considered an offense and nobody gets disciplined for it. Women, on the other hand, are a small minority on this board and are to be treated in a more respectful fashion.
