Super-gagme asking for trouble

I'm ready to start calling this the Aphrodite Trainwreck. I can't imagine how the hell it went from an average picture contest to this clusterfuck of the "smiling=whoring" mess and now this pile of bullshit caused by Gagme, to the point where Mike thinks it's a good idea to stop having contests.

What the fuck? Is the boad's collective level of maturity so low that we just continue to hound females for their pictures, then start making snippy comments and stoop to full-blown sabotage when they oblige? What the hell is wrong with this picture? I thought folks here could be better than this.

I think it's time to take shape up a little. I think a few members need to recall that they are dealing with actual PEOPLE. *shock* Guess what? Not everybody can take a backhanded comment as a joke the way a buddy fo six years can. If they're not used to it, or if they're not used to your brand of humor, than guess what? Deprecating jokes are a bad idea. Seriously, use your heads. If you make a joke and the target obviously doesn't take it well, back off and apologize.

Then there's this fucking drama going on with Gagme, fey, and Namarie. Gagme is obviously taking this way too far. It's a fucking picture contest for fuck's sake. Hacking into somebady's account because you don't want them to win is so blatently unjustifiable it's idiotic. What the fuck is wrong here? Can't people fucking loosen up and enjoy things? No, we have to fucking hack accounts and start deleting shit because of a picture contest.

I'm done ranting for now.

Yeah, when she is ready to bring some proof to the table instead of all her little boys accusing me of a criminal offense on the forum, then I can see your point. But until then, stop fucking accusing me of stuff. If she had proof she would have presented it, why is it she won't take it further than the board when I even offer her my address and phone number? I'd pay her own lawyer to accuse me of something, why? Because I didn't fucking do anything and she knows it.

Frankly, no one believes you ever since you started going and posting pictures of someone on the board without her permission, admitting that you started going after her in IM because you wanted your girlfriend to win, etc. And so far, none of the other participants in this saga are leaping to your defense, are they? Your credibility is thinner than tissue, and you're not helping with your petulance.

I posted to her gallery which was already public in the link to her photos. I never went after her in IM (she caught back logs in the SDNet chat, insult or not, it wasn't to her face) and if she really thinks I hacked her account, like I said before. She just needs to contact photobucket and she can find out.

Super-Gagme I'm not a mod anymore and I'd like to think that we got along pretty well, so I'm just giving you some nice general piece of advice; let it go. Apologise to her if you hurt her feelings (remember it is how she feels in this matter, not what you think), and move on from this sad episode on the board. You'll be better off for it.

Look, I really don't want to drag the insults and the contest arguing out anymore. But I have to defend myself if people keep accusing me of breaking the law. I admitted my fault to insulting her, I apologised on the forum, but the hacking thing is rediculous.

Obviously, Super-Gagme thinks that continuing to talk is actually going to help him. I've seen some of those vile-assed chatlogs, and it doesn't sound or smell to me like you have any credibility. And yes, while we normally don't act on behaviour outside this board, going after female members is a fucking exception and everyone knows it.

To sum up the hacking:

First, you could say the PB crash affected it, however, Fey's account still is there, and online, and the PB announcement mentioned accounts, not files.

On that matter, if a drive containing ONLY those pictures went down, we would see error messages, not have the picture's dissapear, the fact Rogue WAS able to save around 30 shows they weren't crashed.

For me, this kinda negates that factor in it, unless anyone else has weird explanations, I see no reason to doubt the Hacking offense.

while it might be possible for crash to have caused Fey's problems,the possibility for that is so small that I tend belive the Hacking charge

His credibility notwithstanding, nobody has yet posted hard proof of his hacking her account. I will not pass judgement until I see a log of some kind which casts all doubt aside. If a ban poll comes of this hacking charge, I will vote no quickly unless I see some (proof). As of right now, it's all blind stinking conjecture. Yes, he took things too far, yes, he's being immature, but those of you flinging accusations have zero ground to stand on. How do we know Fey doesn't have an overly zealous fan from Livejournal? Her friends list is extensive and she is an attractive female, we know how crazy internet geeks get when an attractive woman posts pics of herself. it could have been a software failure as we have been pointing out before. It could have been ANYthing, up to and including him hacking into her account, but I think the people accusing him of the hacking need to stop and focus on some other aspect of the issue unless someone has anything of substance to post.

He had that account's password. He was the only one besides Fey to have that account's password. How's that for something to stand on?

He offered Fey webspace to store pictures on, and the password she gave him to create that account was the same one she used for Photobucket.

Is anyone here as confused as Gagme as to why this is such a big deal? Frankly it baffles me that anyone could say what he's done (even if we leave out the fact that he allegedly deleted Fey's pics) shouldn't be classified as harassment. It's really very nice that he wanted his girlfriend to win an internet photo contest, but there are other, better ways to show support in this context.

There will be consequences.

I'd say chances of that happening are about as Earth blowing up by itself due to atomic repulsion (for all intents and purposses impossible).

Did he give the password to anyone else? Was the password secure at all times? Could someone else have hacked into the account besides him? What about one of Fey's devoted followers? what about a random malicioous hacking? We don't know. Sorry, not good enough. Accusing someone of hacking is serious, criminal stuff there, bub, and as such, if you are going to accuse someone of a criminal act, you'd best come up with something a bit more substantial than that. Reasonable doubt is key in my eyes, and those unanswered questions cast that doubt.

Alright, I missed a lot. Here's what I've gathered:

Gagme apparently posted some of Fey's pictures (whether with her permission or not, I can't rightly ascertain right now-- although it does certainly seem without). At some point, the two of them got vitriolic with each other on the AIM chat. This has apparently extended to SDnet, and to here. To boot, at some point, Photobucket had trouble at the same time (approximately) that Fey seems to have lost a fair amount of her online pictures.

Someone fill in the gaps, please? In order to be fair here (after all, Gagme isn't your usual troll/VI/flat-out berk-- he's a member who's posted for some time without too much incident until now), we need a timeline of what happened and how, compiled in one post, without being spread out all over the thread (and thus hard to pull together).

*Note that I am not defending either character; I know neither. I am trying to collect the evidence for/against Gagme in one spot, so that we may all be able to determine just precisely what happened.

Who even gives a shit whether he hacked her account? We have a "no harassment rule" here, and his decision to start bashing her in an attempt to win the contest for his girlfriend is contemptible, disgusting, and not tolerable under any circumstances. The question of whether he actually hacked her account only speaks to the level of loathing we should have for him, and his sniveling attempt to say that his behaviour didn't qualify for the legal definition of "harassment" does not win him any fucking points in my eyes, that's for sure.

Do we actually need to have an explicit rule saying "thou shalt not viciously bash opponents in a womens' picture contest thread in an attempt to make your girlfriend win?" This is not a court of law, I'm not going to write a huge book of laws designed to avoid every possible loophole and cover every possible circumstance, and we shouldn't even have to explain such things, goddammit.
