Um, Rogue, I have 12 or so orbital fortresses (see OOB) (dreddie size at least) floating around my orbtial installations. You would take some nasty damage from them, at the very least, before you took them out.

With a fleet of that size? Look at my own battlestations. As written, they should be able to hull a dreadnought one on one, and a couple of them might be able to give the Aegis a run for it's money. However, as per the game balance rules, your planetary defenses are not allowed to do that, and nor are mine. My planetary stations didn't do crap to the Asgard fleet at Orodan, and this fleet is bigger than that one.
It's Rogue, not Rouge!

Tycho, unless you devoted part of your fleet count to those defenses, your defenses will be Cruiser-scale at absolute best, and would get pwned by his massive attack fleet.

So you did. Straha, I'm sure, will be talking to you momentarily. As is, you now get the joy of jacking into the newscasts and hearing about the first day of an interstellar war.

Heh heh. All it takes is a couple of days and a fistfull of Kincaid probes, and we'll all know where you live.

We only neeed to know the general area. These probes can sweep hundreds of start systems in weeks.

BEsides, complete isolationism will NOT help you. You'll be doomed to a life as a backwater with no major trade.

Yes, we all know how well that worked for China. "You can trade with us, but only in this one specific port." Absolute rubbish.

And you're going to bet that you can stay hidden... yeah, right.

Once people know that you're out there, it won't take a week for anyone determined to find you to locate your homeworlds. There are just too many traces that a developing stellar nation leaves behind.

Additionally, trying to build yourself up to military parity while hiding in your clusters is nearly impossible. The larger empires will always be ahead of you in shipcounts (since you arne't expanding like they are, not nearly as much resources) and your ship crews and officers will be green as grass, and will not be a match for veteran navies like my Hajr or Rogue's Nashtari Navy.

That assumes there is a Nashtari Navy...

By the way, Fisher, do you want me to respond as if your Navy has arrived, or are you going to post its arrival?

There is, and I plan on keeping it that way.

give me some info on what i will see at earth, and then i will decide how to go from there.

most likely a prowler stealth ship will scan from the edge of the system and then report to the fleet.

and will you be attacking me or just very courios?

No attacking you, what you'll see is a very quiet system with Merchant freighters and various transports spread out among the system and what not, only armed things in sight are two Defense Platforms.

As of right now, yes. One of the things you'll notice is that Earth's been burnt to a crispy radioactive green, but yes. The Minmatar haven't shown up yet, and I don't have any (apparent) defenses up besides the battle-stations.
