Those children (my Theory not the Anakin kills them all one)

Post by Skelron »

Okay just after Attack of the Clones on Spacebattles the theory was that during the Jedi Purge Anakin would kill them... but just tonight a sudden thought hit me... Why?
The Emporer isn't a person to waste a resource like that! Sidious has shown himself to be very clever after all, so why kill the Jedi Children when he could turn them. It must be easier to turn a child who has only just learnt how to touch the force after all, than a Jedi Master, who is very unlikely to turn, Count Dooku is obviously an exception other wise Jedi who wanted to leave the order would be much more closely observed.

All it would take really after all is a few years of, the Jedi where weak and allowed themselves to be wiped out, they where holding you back, etc. So what do people think.

Nah, Sidious and Vader have them all killed because there could only be two Sith; the master and the apprentice. Otherwise, they will all turn on each other and destroy themselves.

What of those slightly force-sensitive Stormtroopers? Could the kiddies be a precursor to that?

Or they could have been ignored. I mean if it takes years to become a Jedi and without any other Jedi to guard and teach them, then they could never really be a threat to Palpy.

The EU makes reference to a number of less trained Dark Jedi. The Emperor's Hands and the Inquisitors, as well as Alaric Brandl (sp?).

Yeah, they could be ignored, but Episode Three is supposed to be the darkest out of all Star Wars movies (yep, darker than TESB). So we're probably going to see the true evil nature of Palpatine, so atrocities such as this is probably what we'll see. And I don't think he will just ignore them, because he had to have eliminated all possible threats to get where he was, and I just don't think it's in his nature to leave them alone. He's an evil bastard, and that's what he would do. Kill children. Or have Vader do it for him. Unless he turned all of the white human males into his new IRGs seen in RotJ that are slightly Force-sensitive.

I agree he won't ignore them, and that eppy 3 will be very dark and this has to proven. However I think the corrupting of Jedi Children would in fact be darker than killing them. To hint that those children will in say ten to fifteen years be the Emporer's loyal willing Dark Force User's is scarier than a massacre, it shows that emporer is willing to use anything and anyone to gain and preserve his power, even what most of us would view as out of bound's Children. It shows a person who is willing to raise a child in the Dark side so their first response is to hurt rather than to heal etc. Children who will learn that you must take revenge for the slightest percieved slight.... well you get the impression in short he would take their innocence.
