I voted "racism", because you are attacking, thinking that your opponents are inferior and should be crushed, even if that isn't the case, and your side has nothing to gain from it. However, Religion and Nationalism are bad premises for pretty much the same reasons.

Religion. The other reasons are at least grounded in reality. but going to war over religious beliefs is like making full scale war over whether, say, star wars can beat star trek, imo.

Any war comes down to resources and control of resources. Any other reason for a war is just a way of selling it to your people.

Racism, but it's more of a mixture of racism and resources- I call it "Genghis Khan war", where, when you conquer, you either ship the entire population of the conquered into slavery, or kill them all(unless they pay juicy tributes, but one of the Kahns even considered leveling Northern China until he was convinced of the value of its tributes).

Religion, because racism as a justification for war falls to pieces easily under scrutiny from other nations (in some cases even citizens of the aggressor nation). Religion, however tends to spawn a kind of "righteous racism" and the conflicts it starts are the longest, bloodiest and most filled with ever-lasting hatred. And its proponents are the most fanatical of all, having the least regard for innocent life.

If I see a bomb falling on my head. I really don't care if it's because they hate my religion (or lack thereof) or want to steal my land. The end result is the same and if their actions are unjusitified, I see no point to labelling one as 'bad' and another 'more bad'.

I suppose you could judge the severity of the harm each would cause and say which would you prefer happened. For example, in a religious war you might invade Iraq and force everyone to attend Christian churches, while in the case of territory you might kill everyone to make room. Most would prefer the former situation. But, no scenarios are given so I just commented on the act of war in itself.

Racism, Nothing is more dispicable than killing thousand or millions, including many of your own people because you think your skin pigmentation makes you better is completly dispicable. Religion Falls under that catigory and Land/Resorces can be justified (say if you need that land for growing food)

why exactly is nationalism a better reason than religion or racism? wouldn´t it be practicaly the same?

If you asked me to, I could figure out some reasonable justification as to why Germany or the United States was better than Mexico or Poland that would be impossible to refute (ie. The quality of life in the US and Germany is higher than that of Poland and Mexico). I may be incapable of refuting arguments like, "That doesn't entitle the US to more of X," but I would be able to get that far. If you asked me to find some reason why whites (or, more prevalently in my case, asians) are better than blacks or indians I couldn't do it without resorting to forged data and inaccuracies. Similarly, religions are almost universally fucked to the point where there is no point arguing which one's better, since they're all pretty bad and the ones that aren't completely bad no one ever fights for.
