I agree with the Bulk Cruiser estimate for the lowest ship in the first picture- matches pretty well with X-Wing Alliance, which had a Bulk Cruiser present ...

Because although pixilated, it still gives you a bit more detail.

Yes, ships that were dreamed up years after the films are in the films... love this logic.

If the ship is a EU creation, it is probably not there.

I just got my copy today (thank God!), and does there seem to be more ISDs at Endor? :?

I think it's personally futile to attempt to assign identifications to these unknown ships, particularly with IDs originating from the EU.

The ship at the top in the first pic, I thought it was Millenium Falcon.
But the edges are too rounded. A new MC cruiser?

The Rebel fleet is a ragtag fleet, remember? A lot of their ships are going to be of obscure classes, or perhaps even heavily modified or converted vessels that cannot be placed into a "class" at all.

That top ship in the first pic is definetly a Mon Cal design, just wish I could match it up with the many concept designs on Saxton´s Mon Cal page...

And, as I remember it was not visible in the SE. Why the hell did they put it back? (Or did they do the DVDs from the original material, not from the SE?)

Could anyone (and would be willing to) create and post (here or to antibor at freemail.hu) screenshots about the BBU (bayless, bulbless, upside- down) destroyer in RotJ? I am interested in the first 10 or so frames to see whether the ISD on the right covers part of the Liberty type cruiser or not. This would be a scaling clue, showing that the mon cal cruisers (the 'regular' ones, not only the HQ Frigate- type) are not smaller but actually larger than ISDs.

Yes it was. I just never noticed that Corvette. That Frigate is huge, considering it's the brim trench of the Executor. It's a size error, and it's not exactly easy to fix. Chalk it up as a blooper.

A blooper that became a class mentioned in guides, I think. There was also a frigate/carrier-variant with a similar size in one of the new SW:Empire-issues. (It even got a thread devoted to it, not long ago.) So it´s not exactly excluded from 'canon'.

I may be seeing things, but in some of the shots from the Executor-bridge, I swear I can see yellowish-red engine-heat coming from some of the Imperial ships. Is this an FX-blooper or indication of another dagger-shaped type of warship? :?

Goddamnit, they spend so much time fucking with the Greedo scene they forgot this one. Yeah I know fixing it would be difficult, but the models still exist, and computer technology is such that they could probably completely reshoot the scene properly without any but the most hard core of fans noticing.

I've never noticed the corvette before, but besides that, an easy fix would have been replace the SSD trench with a regular SD trench. That would bring the scale way down.

With the corvette there, though. Well, atleast this frigate would be big enough for two squadrons of fighters to fit inside. :D

I noticed that the TIE that a lot of people thought crashed into the ISD bridge, was actually hit by a red laser coming from the upper left corner. Not sure what people already thought of this scene for the most part though.

The movie of the Battle of Endor in another thread in this forum has it, someone can get it from there. The models are extremely clear in it.

That TIE was clearly not crashing into the ISD tower. It missed by a considerable distance.

I thought I recalled some saying it crashed into the bridge. My mistake then.

Well, yes, but how many people other than the hardcore fans even noticed that it was superized in the first place anyway?

Heh, I always thought it was normal sized, and that trench brim was that of an ISD! I had heard tell of this super sized frigate, but never went looking. Now I can see the corvette, it is actually very, very obvious.
