I'm willing to throw the giant ending twist now and end STGOD4, since it seems alot of folks are done here. Let's keep the time-compression from the start for non-wartime, though.

To the ending, I've got something waiting until all fleets are depleted by the war. I've been saving this for some time, so dammit, I'm bringing it out!Stormbringer wrote:The whole post really.SirNitram wrote:Huh to the time compression or the ending twist?Stormbringer wrote: Huh?
As to the time compression, do you not recall all that was talked about how there should be time moving faster when not in a war, so people can recover their fleet losses?

The twist... yes... like a gigantic pretzel of doom, the long-laid plans will appear in a twisted salty explosion of death.SirNitram wrote:To the ending, I've got something waiting until all fleets are depleted by the war. I've been saving this for some time, so dammit, I'm bringing it out!

That its actually filled with Space Pixies waiting to devour us all because we keep stealing their holy pixy sticks? Because I had that pretzel, with the frosting, and the brown sugar coated on to it, and the tastyness.. ::slobbers::Pablo Sanchez wrote:The kind that is available only to those who know the terrible secret of space.Straha wrote:Soft Pretzel with Mustard from a vendor, or is this more of the crunchy comes in a bag variety?
Or is there another secret?

I have a lot of character issues to be resolved, too. What's the deal with Adar Krell? What will Faran do next? Stay tuned to find out, although I can guarantee that the answers will come before the end. I'm working towards a colnclusion of The Krell Drama as we speak...

I have a lot more I want to do. But right now this game is no fun to play and it's been far more arguing than anything. Unless that's changed I think it will be the end.
And I agree with Darksider, at this point we might want to what ever happens, fast forward for a decade or more to let things settle a bit and give the chance for an even playing field.

I still see no reason why we should end it now. I don't see it dragging down or something...

Well, there are ways to eliminate him from this game. Without a nation, he has no leg to stand on...Stormbringer wrote:I'll lay it plain and simple: Rogue's bitching.Dahak wrote:I still see no reason why we should end it now. I don't see it dragging down or something...
I would love for it not to end. But at this points it's getting to be too much hassle for even the most basic of posts.

Well when you basically tell me that you're going to rout over 2/3rds of my entire fleet within minutes using a number of capital ships that you should not have without sending your entire navy, I'm going to be upset, yes. Add to that your telling me that my fighters are suddenly for shit just because you don't like the realities of trying to take something with the resources of a core world (come on, you take a bunch of Iowa or even the uncompleted Montana class battleships and try to bombard the East Coast, I'll take the U.S. Air Force, and we'll see who wins) and yes, I'm going to complain.Stormbringer wrote:I'll lay it plain and simple: Rogue's bitching.Dahak wrote:I still see no reason why we should end it now. I told that if you wanted to include battlecruisers and the kitchen sink then I still had you beat. You're the one that started bragging about your battlecruisers being enough to turn the tide. I know they're capital ships but they're also obsolete piles you picked up for free.Rogue 9 wrote:Well when you basically tell me that you're going to rout over 2/3rds of my entire fleet within minutes using a number of capital ships that you should not have without sending your entire navy, I'm going to be upset, yes.
Hate to break it to you, but this is game balance not real life. You can't have the great invulnerable fighter horde. That was established the first time you brought up this pathetic whining.Rogue 9 wrote:Add to that your telling me that my fighters are suddenly for shit just because you don't like the realities of trying to take something with the resources of a core world (come on, you take a bunch of Iowa or even the uncompleted Montana class battleships and try to bombard the East Coast, I'll take the U.S. Air Force, and we'll see who wins) and yes, I'm going to complain.
I dealt with this idiocy before. Rogue, to explain my reason on the Air Force:
Let's assume for the sake of this that a carrier wing is roughly equal to a battleship/dreadnaught. This doesn't have to be perfect, it's just analogy.
Now you're declaring ten to twenty times times that many planetary based fighters, per planet.
Do you not see the overwhelming game balance problem with this?
You've essentially made it so that if we assume as you wish, that that your whack-tastic Air Force can kill everything short of an entire navy. And you've got it for every planet out there. That a huge game balance problem because no one at all can touch you.

On another note, Rogue, if you've negotiated a ceasefire, and then blatantly break it, you are in serious danger of losing the Shi Combine. To fit my internal wafflings, there is already a faction that feels that our alliance was primarily with the UP, and died with them.
This doesn't change the fact that my people despise the Ousters and most members of the Unification for various reasons.
In an entirely unrelated matter, does anyone object to the heavily damaged Shi royal yacht having miraculously escaped from the anomaly with a few thousand nameless UP refugees, and more importantly to me, my avatar on board, to arrive at Unity station?

BTW, I've updated my OOB with a listing of the colonies, a bit more detail about the 5 main planets and upped the fleetcount slightly to account for new production and recrewing of dry docked assets. I also added a listing for various important stations I've mentioned.

The negotiations were going on as the attack on Mintar was taking place. The fleet honestly could not be informed in time.consequences wrote:On another note, Rogue, if you've negotiated a ceasefire, and then blatantly break it, you are in serious danger of losing the Shi Combine. An Ugly Matter
I've received multiple complaints from various members of the game against Rogue 9, coupled with requests for a ban poll. I had hoped to go about this in a slower and more deliberate manner, but the requests have only intensified. Having conferred with Marcao, I have decided to start a ban poll in response to the requests for such.
