Definately Star Wars. It can attract more types of people than Star Trek. Most people associate Trekkies wiht major nerds, cause of all the scientific termanology they use(read: rape). While Star Wars concentrates less on science and more on action. The other day I heard a bunch of kids talking in the library at school about Star Wars, said it was "crump". People like that would never watch 30 seconds of Trek. One of them said he had read most of the Wars books in there, one of them asked him even the Star Trek ones? His responce was "hell nah"

Definitely Star Wars, If you have ever done night fire exercises with tracers, you can't help feeling like an Imperial Stormtrooper.

I did mention that, and interestingly enough te history channel actually told someone the were interviewing about Desert Storm thathe couldn't use ths name of Star Wars in describing what the fighting was like in order to avoid lawsuits so he said for them "it was like something out of a science fiction movie" But I remembeed the same guy saying to CNN that it was like something out of Star Wars. Anyway since when have we ever seen any real groundfighting in Star Trek?

I doubt Lucas would have sued them oversomething so trivial anyway.

Definitely Star Wars. People associate it with many futuristic things, more often that with Star Trek.

I'd say Star War's has had a greater impact by a very wide margin.
