Doesn't work for me either.

I have too much time on my hands, as demonstrated here:
If you can't figure out what it means, just ask.
But for starters, this simply represents an attempt to use the angle of the arrow to get an accurate measurement of where that arrow hit. I used three different scaling references to make thee measurements, so there are three lines.
The dialation factor is simply to compensate for the distance between the object and the frame of reference (who may be standing standing less than a sixth of their body length apart, thus making the dilation conservative).
The two purple vertical lines reprent the longitude that the arrows may have hit.
The top color coded horizontal line would represet the measurement before the dialation was taken into account. The lower lines of the same color represent the measurement after the dilation.
Bold color coded vertical lines represent the distance from the main frame of reference (the brim of the helmet).
The red lines represent measurement marks.

Regarding that pic on the lower right in the above post, does it look almost as if we should see the rest of the arrow in front of the white section close to his neck? Just where the arrow's blue line continues on. I guess, if true, that might be due to the same washout effect as the other anomalous pics.

I took several Frame by frame pics of this scene and added to the pics a blowup of the arrow hit in each frame. Something I noticed in them is that the Arrow's initial angle is to high to have possibly hit the backpack. Give me a ring and I will E-mail you copies of the pics.
I have also noticed that Darkstar does not use the impact picture

Of course- it's repeated throughout his site- he uses the picture that gives him the most bullshit room, and ignores the rest.

Well ofcourse he does. Afterall, it would be far too inconvinient for him to have pictures that clearly show the arrow silhouetted against the armor layer therefore proving his bullshit as exactly what it is, bullshit.

The thing is that you can see a very narrow white silhouette, but he'd have you think that your eyes are decieveing you and there are also many things that line can be. But this picture can almost conclusively show the arrow in the body glove and the postion where it hit is consistent with the angle of the visble part of the arrow if you were to extend that line all the way down.Winston Blake wrote:Regarding that pic on the lower right in the above post, does it look almost as if we should see the rest of the arrow in front of the white section close to his neck? To think that I overlooked that screencap (I saw that frame in the .avi, but wasn't able to capture it for measurment) before making the above graphic.

Incidentally, you can easily prove to yourself that the camera was removing part of the arrow's length from the shot (thus making the shot that actually SHOWS the arrow extending well past the backpack and into the neck area of the trooper at least nominally consistent with subsequent images that don't see to show the arrow continuing) by advancing the film a few frames past the ones shown here. You will actually see a clear gap between the arrow and the stormtrooper and his equipment, thus proving that the camera was unfairly cheating the arrow of some of its length.
