Does this come as any surprise to anyone? Anyone?

If anything I'm stunned that less than 2/3's of Americans have lost faith in their leaders.

It's not at all suprising. Both parties have learned all the wrong lessons from the events and scandals; it's been happening for a decade or more now. It's catching up with them because the dishonesty is spreading to more and more substantial issues. Unless both sides get a smack to head, and it doesn't at all seem likely since Bush and Kerry are two sides to the same weasely coin.
