Frankly if you hadn't screamed so loud about conqearing Europe I doubt anyone would care about you overrunning some island in the middle of the sea or some pissant powers in the Black Sea.

Right now it's cheaper to stop you where you are rather than wait for you to get around to them.

BUT THAT'S EXACTLY THE POINT! IT'S NOT!

Shall we make calculations here:

Britain decides to join in the anti-Jihad alliance, later when the Jihad attacks Britain sends five regiments men on their transport ships.
Either A: Jihad is defeated before they arrive months later, and that entire transit time and waste of units was for naught
OR
B: They arrive, fight and lose men in Asia for no gain.

As opposed, to say, them not joining at all and letting other people fight for them because either way the results will be the same. NOw you tell me, which is more economical?

First off, the far members of this gathering will be sending 1 or 2 regiments at best. They send them via air. Given how many other nations sending troops, that still adds up.

They fight you and beat you, risking 1000 men in order to keep you where you belong. Far away from them. At the same time they stand to gain, money, trade concessions and access to more trade. Also they get a closer look at their rivals for the near future.

Okay Straha, I thought you'd have been able to figure this out, but apparently it's not all that transparent.

I'm sending two naval ships, some gryphon riders, and a company of scouts and skirmishers. No mainline troops, none of my elite heavy cavalry, nothing other than that. Such has been said. Oh, but why would I do that? Isn't it readily obvious?

Those are elite skirmishers and rangers, and men and beasts to fly high over the battlefield for a not-so-coincidental birdseye view while they're dropping shit on you. When they come back, I will know everything I need to know about how every army involved in the engagement fights. I'm doing this for my benefit, and putting a minimal amount of my resources at risk. There. My plan. So will you shut up about how stupid I am for sending heavy cavalry that I never intended to send in the first place?

People really need to remember supply lines. Apparently my ability to move around Europe easily has made people forget this or something. Moving thousands of troops via air is one thing, and my main ability. Moving via the ground or sea is alot harder.

Second, I'll take a moment to cuss up a small storm. I drop magic entirely and any proper ability to wage groundwar for cool airships, and someone else builds one bigger and badder than a Dreadnought.

Gonna have to curbstomp them.

So, what you've basically just admitted is that if I ever attack a member of this Alliance, you'll only be in the cheering section?

I told you why. Intel. Of course, my excuse is that it's all I can send with the limits on Nitram's airlift (which is true; he flat out told me he couldn't move the Knights of the Crown before I even asked, which I wasn't going to), but the end result is that my skirmishers will do some skirmishing, and then come back with a hell of a good idea of how the armies of just about everybody operates, at the rate people are sending troops to this thing.

Expansion: Some went nuts, most don't remember what they saw, only sensing darkness and cold. One knows, but he was considered kinda nutty before seeing this vision, so imagine what folks will think of him now...

It's okay, but I wanted to be clear on this point, since your OOB was only posted today, still does not have a map, and hasn't gone under mod review yet. Thirdfain and I are working as quickly as we can to get all the OOBs and maps ratified ASAP, so don't worry too much.

Though I think we will have to talk about your Chaos Lords...
