OK, Kerry seems to have found his form, and Georgie's stumbling all over himself. Better.

I think there is going to be a "Richard Nixon versus Jack Kennedy" effect here. Bush is falling apart, while Kerry is remaining poised and collective. Bush could be spitting gold plated rocket science (which he isn't), but style matter here and Bush looking like he needs to take a nap time is going to really hurt him.

All I know is, Mr. Bush will have quite alot to work on in preparation for the next one.

It won't help. Kerry is just too good a debater in comparison.

The last one from Kerry, very very good.

Anyone wonder whether his handlers will try to get the next debate at an earlier hour. Bush needs his nappy

WTF? I'm not sure if my ears fooled me but did he just said "We're increasing funding for nuclear proliferation?"
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Darfur should have been a homerun for Bush, but he blew it. Darfur is a perfect example of the shortcomings of Kerry's "let's have a circlejerk at the UN" approach to foreign policy.

Bah, another great opening for Bushie, and he blows it.

Well, he might not be able to look better than Kerry, but he can certainly look better than this. He's stumbling far more than usual, and, as others have noticed, looks like he's very fatigued by the exchange.

That was always a very real concern for the Bush team, but Kerry is a skilled debator, so the hour wouldn't matter.

I've been watching it on Yahoo! ;)

Guys, quit the "Bush is a poopie head" every 2 seconds. Kerry is fumpfering just as much as Bush is.

Kerry's most shining moment so far was his nuclear proliferation speech.

He did.

Kerry stutters at key times, and Bush is now stuttering ALL the time. But the fact is, Kerry just *looks* and *sounds* less appealing, and that's probably going to matter more, even though Bush just looks bad.

Ooo, Kerry can do it in four years. And Kerry wants to do Korea alone. These are big holes, and Bush just stumbles.

Hmmm, don't buy it. No way can Bush score points off this debate, IMO.

Are you watching the same debate we are? Kerry's made some big screwups, but Bush is tripping all over himself everytime he speaks.

And Bush is now referencing his warm, personal rapport with world leaders.

Right.

Simple comparison. Kerry looks presidential, tall, lean, calm. He speaks well and he's really kept his composure.

I haven't been impressed by Kerry, he's got holes galore in his arguments and he's not very effective on the attack as someone like Howard Dean would be. Fortunately for him, Bush looks as bad as he's ever looked in a debate tonight.

Kerry won this debate, no question. Where Bush is floundering, Kerry has been composed and presidential. Good job John, I didn't know you had it in you.
