The Domination is likely the most oppressive empire in all of sci fi. They actually genetically modified their serfs to perfect slaves while elevating them selves to have super human strength and intelligence.

They however start out as the Boers of South Africa, though with a population boost from Canada.

sounds somewhat similar to the ST Dominion (shameless rip-off?)
I doubt it. The Draka are far far more evil then the Dominion. I can see some connection, but not enough for me to think that the writers who created the Dominion even had read on of the Domination books.

The connection is pretty much that both seek to place everyone they encounter under there control and put them to work. However there are countless sci fi empires like this.

If I had mod powers in this forum I would split it now.
But I don't have, so I can't.

I'm just going to drop it. I never intended to have a discussion about the Domination, the idea just seemed similer in sanity. But then you had to go and not know what I was talking about.

Actually the Domination of Draka is more an Alternate history.
Although if there was a prize for "the most unlikely Alternate history scenario" it would win hands down.

Sure, that would be nice. You can PM them to me, if you don't mind (so as not to completely throw this off-course).

Looking at the disgusting spectacle of IMDR being impaled by Drakan officers (standard method of execution in the Domination)

brave, but foolish.
*teleports IDMR's remains up to the Emperor's guding light*
*orders said Retribution class battleship to commence planetary bombardment*
that'd shut them up.

At first yes, but by the end it really is sci fi.

Grand Moff Tarkin looks like a liberal peacenik when compared to the average Drakan politician.

The Domination has one attitude: All people are created equal, under the boot of the Draka.

I really need to finish writting my Drakka Boogie Man story. A nasty little creature designed to thin out the weak of the Drakka's young, does it's job a little TOO well. Hunting them, killing them, and releasing "Fight or flight" pheremones Giving their serf's heart attacks, and actually SCARING the Drakka if they aren't wearing full enviornmental armor.

Has anyone read the Draka vs Sailor Moon fanfic? It's a pretty good read by my standards.

If you're referring to Ken Wolfe's Kiss of the Enemy, yes, it's quite good. And dark (though not quite as much as LeVar Bouyer's Innocence in a Minor)
