Does it really matter what the thread was about? We can either unlock it and live with the spam or keep it locked and die of Kelly deprivation.

What a strange situation- personally I don't think I'll suffer from deprivation if a valued member leaves the board- but it will be unfortunate. However, having a thread that goes on for some 65+ pages locked is perfectly reasonable and Kelly's reaction was pure over-reaction to the say the least, I dare say if it was a test to see how desperate we are for her to stay then I won't be impressed.

But yes, I would prefer that she stay, along with pretty much everyone else too

Well, if she ran off because we locked her thread, then she's good at making excuses. She said that she thought she was threatening other on the top 10 posters list. That's a lame excuse.

Now I know she's a woman. Women are alwys good at making excuses. I know form my personal experiences.

I remember when she first came here 2 months ago, I didn't know she was so, uh, "interesting".

I need to think of better words.

i haven't been here long, but i've been around long enough to know that kelly is definitely a fabulous woman in many respects. she seems to generally be very open and honest (among other kickass traits), so i wouldn't be surprised if something else is going on with her to shake her usual charming self-assuredness. i hope everything is ok.

of course, i hardly know her--not the way a lot of you do, so i'm just guessing. i'm still concerned, though....

I originally had written a long-winded post about even-handed board management, self-analysis, taking personal issues out of non-personal issues, and a bunch of other grossly analytical stuff that no one would really read.

Instead, I'll just say that if she's reading this, I think Kelly should realize that no one has attempted to slight her in any way, and if she despite that fact feels like she has been slighted, she should calmly confront the source of her percieved insult and try to discuss it with them rather than running away from people who honestly like her and consider themselves at the least remote-source anonymous friends of hers.

No is asking the mods to do that. I just started this thread to try and show Kelly that she is welcome here since she seems to have gotten the impression that she's unwelcome.

And I was one of the first to say I wanted her back. However people are suggesting that the decision to close her thread should be reversed to bring her back, and I don't support that in the slightest.

To be honest, I don't even like the idea of this thread that much. I hated attention-grabbing antics when RayCav was doing it, and I still hate them when Kelly is doing it.

If she gets her shit together and decides to stop acting this way, fine. If she doesn't, she will be missed, but the board will live on.

Kelly, please don't leave. You probably don't even know who I am, but you are one of my favorite 3 posters and without you most of us won't enjoy the board as much.

As for the jackasses who voted no here's my plan,
Males: cut off their genitals and then force them to eat their genitals.
Females: hack off their breasts with rusty dull axes then force them to eat their breasts
Both:Pull off their arms and legs and then roast them over a pit.

I am stunned that she would leave the board because her thread got closed. It was just a chat room, and I thought it should have been locked some time ago, but I would like her to stay on the board. Her loss is truly a blow to us all.

Her thread got locked because it turned into a chat-room, and because her post count was starting to climb the charts even though she wasn't contributing much outside of her thread, according to DW. Personally, I think the thread should have been closed, but I do NOT think that Kelly should leave over it.

I say she should stay. Her thread getting locked has happened to numerous amounts of other posters. Besides, so what if people are threatened about thier 'post count'. Fuck that. Do you make mulitiple posts, or one long winded post a day? When I first started I was only making one or two posts that were just too damned winded. So Kelly should stay, she's very interesting, however there shouldn't be all of this attention getting going on.

I just wanted to apologize for my overreaction last night. It just really shocked me when I saw the thread locked. My original thought when I saw the thread was "cool, Mike has another question." When I saw what excatly it was, I overreacted.

I know many of you guys don't know much about women. I'm not bipolar, I'm just a woman. Worse than that, I'm a woman on pms. I seriously wish sometimes I wasn't a woman. I hate dealing with it.

Anyway... I just want to say I'm sorry. Hopefully (but I wouldn't bet on it) this will never happen again. I so hope you will be able to forgive me.
