That question is a lot harder to answer than you think it is. Because it has a direct bearing on the frequency of the mistakes the political parties have made. It's rather hard to the Democrats to make as many mistakes in the last four years as the Republicans since they're a minority in Congress and were simply looking longingly at the White House.
