I suspect that since nothing has been said about this in the mainstream media that there isn't much to it, but it sure seems very convincing.

Thoughts?

There's also this URL (scroll down to the Audiogate section):

The most interesting part is the recording link where you hear Bush say, "Let me finish" to NO ONE.

It's a little too early to tell how reliable this is, but if true and if it is proveable, this could be devestating to the Bush campaign.

It seems dodgy at first, but one has to wonder what that squarish protrusion on his back is, because it sure as hell looks suspicious and I can't imagine what other apparel a normal person would wear that produces a squarish bulge in the middle of his back.

As I said, I want to know who he was talking to when he said, "Let me finish."

Well let's face it; everyone knows that Bush is basically a sock puppet, but I guess we always figured that this puppeteering was a bit more indirect. Maybe it's more direct than we thought.

Well... if he did it once, chances are he'll do it again. See if he's wearing it at tonight's debate.

Not likely. If this was really the source of his stumbling, I doubt he would repeat it. Plus, the fact that this story broke shows that the Bush camp is well aware of the it and probably won't take the risk.

If it's true, he's sunk, but I doubt it is.

I think Kerry should remove his jacket during the debate tonight. <grin> That would either leave Bush looking too formal or expose an interesting situation. I'd like to see some mainstream news source either bump this story up or knock it down entirely.

Christ, all they have to do is pull shots from both sides of his head and look for a ear piece. And I don't think they'd be that stupid.

It's more complicated then that. Read the article--the "spy expert" says that a tiny microphone can be placed inside the inner ear making it virtually invisible. I can't imagine that TV resolution would be good enough to get a decent zoom and pick it up.

So Bush had someone helping him and still did such a crappy job in the debate?

There are indeed codec systems that can stimulate the inner ear bones for speakers and use denture implants as receivers, but this seems a bit elaborate for a debate, doesn't it?

If only we could find out the frequency and pull a "Roxanne" on him. Watch the confusion as Bush starts spewing Howard Stern at the moderator.

According to www.electoral-vote.com, one of Bush's conditions for the debate was "no shots of the candidates from behind."

If he had a properly concealed wiretap like the inner ear and molar implant, then that wouldn't make any difference. Unless he was stupid enough to have a newsreader like device externally.

All the same, if he did have outside advice, the advisors need to buck up.

Did any of you guys get a look at that picture of him from behind with that squarish object in the middle of his back, under his jacket? That picture, more than anything, made me suspicious that this story might actually have some merit to it.

The one that looks like he had a box sitting on his butt? Yeah, I kept wondering how the press missed that!

I take that back, the picture I'm thinking of was showing him clearly wearing a receiver at an earlier press conference to show that he does indeed have a history of such devices.

I can, since they demanded that no one take any pictures of him from behind.

This is one of the main reason that make me believe this story. You only demand such thing if you have something to hide.

Plus of course the odd box under the jacket.

Would a bulletproof vest cause 'corners' in the middle of his back if it fastened from behind?
