TPM: Qui-Gon's Noble End - it fit the scene like a hand in glove.

AOTC: Anikan's rant - the Sith theme used to full, horrifiying effect.

ANH: The Rebel Ceremony - proud and majestic, a perfect ending.

TESB: The. Imperial. March. I just love the way they introduce the Executor.

ROTJ: The Rebel fleet's attack. The first time they see the DS2, there's just a sudden crash of sound. It's the single moment of ROTJ I remember the best.

That music, when Luke goes into a rage, is that a song on the soundtrack or something?

TPM- Duel of The Fates.

AOTC- The music that plays in the background in the "I killed them all..." scene. Or when Anakin is racing across Tatooine on the Swoop bike.

ANH- The celebration at the end. Nice and triumphant.

ESB- The Imperial March... duh. Either that or the theme that plays when Yoda levitates the X-Wing.

ROTJ- The Ewoks song at the end, nice simple sounds for a grand event.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

TPM: I like Duel of the Fates but I also like the militaristic march that gets played when the Trade Fed army marches into Theed. It gets used later in AotC for the Clone Troopers on review. I've been calling it either the "Clone Trooper March" or "Naboo March"...

AotC: I'm going to get my chops busted and say that I love the tragic sounds of the music when Anakin and Padme are together. THe love scenes are poorly acted and forced, but that doesn't make the music bad.

ANH: Luke staring in the desert, or the Batle of YAvin music. There is a special place in my heart for the Cantina Band music, too.

ESB: Executor arrival and the "Probe Droid/Aboard the Executor" segue.

RoTJ: Luke's Rage is awesome. Stirring. And I enjoyed "Lapti Nek" even though it was silly. On the soundtrack, "Jabba's Baroque Recital" was nice too.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

There are three scenes/ cues from TESB that deserve mention.

1) When Luke says goodbye to Han and Chewie, followed by the best rendition of the Imperial March as Vader's fleet approaches Hoth.

2) The cue of Han and Leia's theme as the ughnauts topple Han's "casket".

3) The scene where Leia, Chewie and Lando are chasing Boba Fett and reach the platform too late. This was restored in the SE. In the original release the music just stopped. Instead a tragic cue of the Han/ Leia theme wells up. Another tearjerker for my ex. What they did with this scene more than makes up for Greedo shooting first and chopping up the escape from the Executor or anything else I had any quibble with.

Hmm. I think I'll just give my top 3 for each movie.

TPM.

1. Duel of the Fates. Nothing much to say here. The lightsaber duel cutting back and forth to the massive dogfight in orbit...

2. Funeral for a Jedi. It was very fitting for such a great man, the vocals over the top and familiar SW tones in a minor key. The 'evil' twist as Palpy was focused on wasn't exactly subtle, but it worked fine.

3. The music when Anikan blows the Control Ship away and races out with the fireball behind him. Its only a short track and rework of a classic SW theme, but it works so well.

AOTC.

1. Imperial March reprise, at the end when Palpy is lording over the Clonetroopers as they parade onto their ships and launch for orbit, with Bails head in the background hanging in pure defeat, that the war is now upon them. Its a defining moment in SW history.

2. Into the Night. The entire sequence worked so very well. Starting with Padme walking up and the chilling echo of Luke staring at Tattoiens twin suns as they embrace, then the...determined...Jedi jumps onto his Speeder and roars off into the sunset, as a 'dark' reprise of Duel of the Fates strums up.

3. Yodas Cavalry. Its cliché, its not subtle, but damnit, the music and sequence works well together as the LAAT's roar into the Arena, with Acclamators rumbling by overhead. Very cool.

ANH.

1. Trench Run. Lukes attack run against the Death Star. Has the right parts in the right places. The way it gets more intense after Wedge breaks off, then even more critical when Biggs dies, then Luke is about to die then BANG, it changes again as Vaders wingman blows sky high and Han 'YEEEEHOOO's' it into battle. Then the build-up as the Death Star starts to open fire....before exploding suddenly in a flash of hellfire.

2. Escape from the Death Star. Everything from the light music as they get set, the slow build-up then the sudden kick in as the Tie fighters break port and starboard around the Falcon. Its really classic music.

3. Across the Chasm. Very classic. The classic SW theme perfectly used as Leia, showing truly that she isn't just a peaty face, guns down Stormtroopers to cover Luke as they get ready, then do swing across the 'Bottomless Pit of Doom' (TM).

ESB.

1. Rescue from Cloud City - Hyperspace. I just love this. From Luke calling back the Falcon with the SW theme as Leia senses his call, Vaders shuttle in the SE sweeping past towards Executor, Luke slowly moving down as the Falcon eases forward, the Falcon flying past Executor as the music changes to a light rendition of the Imperial March with Luke and Vader conversing, to R2D2 jumping them to light speed and Vader silently walking off the bridge as everyone from Piet on down just *cringes*. it really adds to the feeling of 'The Heroes got their asses *kicked*, but live to fight another day'.

2. The Asteroid Field. Come on, Han making cocky comments the whole way through, 3P0, Leia and even Chewie all wild eyed, Tie's slamming into Asteroids and blowing sky high...its just so COOL. The first time I saw ESB in the Cinema (when the SE came out) I felt almost like I was at Star Tours!

3. The Battle of Hoth. From the start of the battle as the Walkers slowly advanced, the Transport blasting past the ISD with the Ion cannons help, Wedge and Janson downing the first walker to the heartfelt rendition of the SW theme as the order to retreat is given, while the Walkers implacably stride forward, gunning down everything.

ROTJ.

1. Lukes Rage. Period. The way Vader is taunting him, then suddenly you hear the "NOOOO!' and his head snaps around to see his son enraged and forcing him back, making him STUMBLE back through his pure anger and force, completely beleaguered before the onslaught....the music fits the moment so damn perfectly. Right down to the Imperial March 'triumphantly' sounding as Luke gives into the Dark Side. And just as good, the very light music as then he pushes himself back, turns to the Emperor and throws down the gauntlet.

2. Into the Death Star. Which encompasses the chaotic chase scene, Vader’s noble death and Wedge/Lando blasting the core then running for their lives. Just about perfect in every way.

3. Yodas Death. Very moving, very heartbreaking. Cracks me up every time.

I'd like to add a new candidate for TESB: the scene where Leia, Lando & Co. escape on the Falcon, especially from the bit where R2 gets the door open.

I really like Into the Death Star and the Rebel Theme from TESB and then the Imperial March cues in the credits, excellent.

For me, the greatest SW scene ever is the Emperor's arrival in ROTJ. Started when Emperor's shuttle entered Death Star's hangar, escorted by many TIEs, then the scene changes into the hangar. Darth Vader and Moff Jerjerrod kneeling down while the shuttle's ramp opens, revealing the most powerful man in the galaxy. "Raise, my friend." Then the Emperor and Vader take a walk amidst various Imperial troops, ended by the Emperor's mad laughter. Through the whole scene, the venerable Imperial March keeps playing in the background. It was my definitely most memorable Star Wars scene!

Long live Emperor Palpatine!
